Jamie... I finally got a full refund (£67.50) from these bandits but it took approx 4 weeks to get it back and it took plenty of 'strong not taking no for an answer' emails. Go back onto their loancentre website, you can email your complaint from there. You have a legal right to a refund, you must ask them for a refund form and they will email you one. You need to claim your refund within 14 days from when you initially went on their website. So do it now...
Good Luck...:beer:0 -

Moneygrabber,
Please can you advise where you sent the letter to and what the letter said?
I have been scammed by this company to the tune of £67.50 and wish to get a refund in full. I have emailed them twice via the loanfinder website but have not heard anything back. I was thinking of going to the address in Southend as I am a 20minute drive from there but I dont want to be getting myself in trouble causing threatning behaviour.
Any help would be much appriciated
Many Thanks0 -
Got letter from bank this morning saying they were looking at re debiting the money as they received a letter from - THE NOSTRUM GROUP Henry Graham Finance Assistant saying that permission was given to take the money - when???? To be honest I don't care what the gent said from this group they are as bad as the people they take money for they are obviously aware what is going on.0

Is anyone interested in lodging a mass complaint to the Office of Fair Trading to get these scumbags investigated ? Id be happy to front it and would even be willing to write to BBC WATCHDOG to get their interest too. I am sure that with the number of complaints about them that I have found, the Office of Fair Trading would have to investigate and I am sure Watchdog would love to expose these theiving scumbags to the general public. The more people who complain, the better the chance that these bandits get brought to their knees.
For those who dont want to go that far, I was given their number by a very kind person at the Halifax Bank. 08445766851. You should also write or email them quoting the Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004, stating you wish to cancel your "membership" (what a joke !! ) and demand a full refund of all monies taken. It is your right. However, they dont seem to give a flying four x about anyone's rights so I doubt they will be too bothered by regulations !! Shall we make them bothered ???
Message me if you are interested...it might not get our money back but it may help stop other unsuspecting vunerable people from getting scammed.
Good luck to everyone !0 -

Richard_Carter wrote: »Dear all,
My name is Richard Carter and I am the Chief Executive of The Nostrum Group.
I have read through the comments on this site and wish to clarify some of the posts that are being made.
Firstly, Nostrum is a payment processor and Cornwall Collections is one of our trading styles for collecting payments. Neither Nostrum nor Cornwall own or control The Loan Centre – it is one of many customers of ours and there is no relationship other than supplier/customer. As a result, we don’t have the authority to provide refunds or provide any updates/comments on the service that Loan Centre customers have signed up for.
If you wish to get in touch with The Loan Centre, then you should either use the “Contact us” button on their website, email them at help@loan-centre.net or call them on 0345 257 9899
From the posts on this site, a number of people are contacting me directly and also calling 0870 754 2310 which is our main switchboard line only to be provided the same message from our staff. I appreciate that this is very frustrating for callers, though is no reason for some of the bad language that is directed to our staff. Please email help@loan-centre.net or call 0345 257 9899 and you will get a quicker reply.
Finally, there are some posts that seem to suggest that Loanfinder, Loan Centre and Nostrum are all linked. Certainly Nostrum has no links with Loanfinder and, so far as I am aware, neither does Loan Centre.
I hope that this clears up any confusion and helps you get the right people who can help you straight away.
So you are approving of your clients deceptive and potentially illiegally marketing?0
