Has anyone heard of or had a problem with this company? I stupidly gave out my details when applying for a loan. They are now taking funds from my debit card as a "subscription". I can't trace them or find a number for them. Have been onto bank who said they would stop the transaction but they company applied for it again. I have cancelled my debit card, had a new one re-issued. I have been onto CAB, OFT, Consumer Direct etc who are trying to help.

This company are a payment processor for Veritable Finance Ltd( t/a The Loan Centre ).
When you access their website it clearly states that they will not take any upfront fees - this is an absolute lie !!

In my own case, I registered at 11.00am on 07/07/10, my card was debited at 14:23 on 07/07/10 and, as yet, I have nothing to show for my £69.50.

I have passed this matter on to my solicitor, my credit card company are investigating the activities of Cornwall Collections and I have every intention of recovering this money, together with all related costs.
• I too have had money taken from my card by these sharks. They tried several times and the money was declined but as soon as there were funds in the account they took the money. I had cancelled my subscription to The Loan Centre and had a confirmation reply so I guess they are just crooks, Words come easily to these people. I am now going to wait until 5pm this afternoon for confirmation that they have arranged a refund (to a prepaid credit card this time) if I do not hear from them I am reporting it to the Police.

I have also had money taken from my account in total £77 over four days. I have contacted my bank and their fraud department are investigating. I have also e-mailed the loan centre who claim that I signed up for a "subscription" and "membership" for a one-off fee. This I never did. Can anyone please let me know if they have received their monies back yet?

Their e-mail address is support@loancentre.zendesk.com i was replied to by a guy called Marvin Thomas who gave me a !!!! and bull story.
• Repeated problems with direct debits being set up under this name and another name of the same company.

Plenty of e mails, no response, no number to call. I's cancel the direct debit, they woud set it up again. Ended up closing my bank account.

Would love to know when i signed up to this and what service I have recieved from them to warrant £50.00 a month for the last 6 months....
• HI.

This is the number we use when contacting them.

0870 7542310.

This gets you through to the main switchboard and you can then ask for the Laon Centre.

Hope that helps.
