    Hello all.

    Happy Birthday Saver-j.

[QUOTE=lemanie;33577027_Also_spotted_a_mention_of_Lamewolf feeling low, hope you are hanging in there. [/QUOTE]
Thanks; basically when Sidney went home, the flippin' BD moved in to take his place. I keep kicking the damn thing out, but it always seems to sneak back in again. I guess I'm sort of joining the ranks of people wondering what they've really achieved in life - I'm 50, and really nothing to show for half a century on the planet. *shruggy smilie* The jolly old health seems to be up and down as often as a hooker's drawers at the moment, too, which isn't helping; never mind, I'll be going on holiday soon, perhaps that'll help.
Anyways, I hope you're feeling somewhat better yourself. (((HUG)))

Been suffering a rotten migraine this morning - but nothing to worry about, we had a spot of thunder this morning, so that explains it. However, it does mean I'm well behind with the list. Oh well, I'll catch up tomorrow if need be, and maybe just do the first couple of levels.

Having said I wasn't going to start on sorting the bookcases yesterday, Mr LW was doing Wii exercises last night, so I made a start - 5 bookcases all checked, filed in alphabetical order and the books listed (next stage will be to identify any missing from series, so that we can try to get them). Unfortunately, I didn't find any we want to get rid of; I think that task was pretty thoroughly done when I first moved here and we both had far more books than was reasonable.

Right, I think I'm going to have an apple, and see if I feel a bit less shaky after that. (((HUGS))), posi-vibes and get well wishes as appropriate.:o Special posi-vibes on the way for LadyL and Diva and hoping Toots is having a lovely time at the retreat.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes, I have been having a very nice day so far, doing not very much, been out and done a little shop, bought thank you cards and a few reduced bits for freezing at the supermarket near the gardencentre which was my main destination, but failed to purchase my birthday present greenhouse as there weren't any in stock. Hope the miserable weather doesn't hurt my tomatoes potted up yesterday in preparation. Come back sunshine!

I am just choosing 2 audible books to download as I signed up to the offer last week and then think I'll do a little flying as I feel guilty spending the whole day SOAADFA, and want to do a few bits as it's back to work tomorrow. May try one of yesterdays extras as I got a cupcake cookbook as a present :)

    welcome to any newcomers!

Well ended up at the GP's again today, DS2 got his hayfever meds and i have to go back tomorrow for a blood test.
Two more blisters came up on my hands over the weekend, and before anyone asks no i didn't burn myself this time. So now i have been referred to the hospital to see a dermatologist as none of us know why i'm getting blisters.
took kids to play area and just got back now. Had dinner while we were out and lots of coffee.
Tidied loads of the front room and stairs so now not much to do.

    So lists so far:-

    Level 3

Rach are you off sick? Hope your'e ok.
Yes, Dr signed me off last thurs for a week. Bene exhausted, dizzy, nearly passing out etc but am really ok I think. Would be if I didn't have to work, or more specifically commute. I am exhausted still and don't know how I'll manage to go back Friday but will have to try!

Mr S has been, mostly put away. Amazon delivery also came. I am now pooped so having a rest before I make some soup for dinner.

    Afternoon all

Welcome to all the newbies, hugs all round to everyone (as I have promptly forgotten all I have just read!)

I spied a screw in my tyre this morning so had to get that sorted first off  Fortunately it was smack on the middle of the tread so I got it repaired for less than £12. Then I picked my friend up and we trekked over to meadowhell for a couple of hours. We stayed down the MSE end :rotfl: and between us I think we spent no more than £25 :D

On our way out I did spy another fly pal stood under charrain.gif with a :coffee:

    Greenbee!

I've started fitting this Stop Gap stuff between the floorboards - its very, very easy :j. All you need to fit it is an old credit card or similar - clubcard whatever, cut to length, fold in half and use the card to shove it down the gap. Once there it opens up in a V shape to fill the gap, and you can use it under the skirtings if theres a gap there too :D. Much simpler and tidier than woodfiller. I got the clear stuff, and once pushed down you can't see it though I think they sell a darker one for dark wood floors. The box says it does gaps up to 8mm, though I haven't got as far as some of my wider gaps yet.

Very impressed so far, it seems to do what it says on the tin, though my knees aren't as they've had enough of kneeling on hard surfaces this weekend :o.

I decluttered boxes to the charity shop though I nearly had a paddy when the lady started wondering if they had space for them  - I had managed to get a parking space right outside by good luck!!:T

Recycling centre after work tomorrow with all the cardboard. Things are beginning to look better after this mornings hovel as I emptied boxes, feeling tired now though and a touch headachy so off to make some chilli for dinner - bought a pile of mince at the butchers so will do half chilli, half bolognese and portion freeze.
