Nope you're not the only one...The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -
when PG with my DD i was horny as hell, probably because my OH at the time (now ex) wouldnt come anywhere near me
despite me telling him time and again that it cant hurt the baby, and it wouldnt be able to feel anything etc,.. he wasnt having any of it... so therefore i didnt get any either, lol
This time however (7 years later) im too bloody knackered! my poor OH now seems to have had a visit from the horny fairy but she forgot to see me first
the first trimester he had no chance! its getting better now, but we went from pre pregnancy at least once a day to during pregnancy maybe once a week....
cant wait to feel normal again and resume our rampant sex life0 -
memories from the first...
Kicks feel horrid! there is an alien in my tummy and its trying to get out. Who said kicks were wonderful, they are horrid!
Your toes swell that much that the skin bursts round your nail...
Breast feeding causes after pains like being in labour again.
Breast fed babies need to be burped, and you have to hold a bottle of milk a certain way...
Little willies can pee like a windmill, and they always get you!
from the second...
That when it all goes wrong, you still get flashbacks and nightmares two years later, no matter how many people tell you you should just be thankful you both got through it.0 -

I have been reading this post on and off for days - it's hillarious!
I was quite lucky with my DD as labour only lasted 8hrs from the first twinge to her being in my arms. Course that meant I nearly had her at home cos it being my first I was convinced it was gonna be AGES yet and the fact I was in agony was just me being a wuss. Lucky for me Hubby MADE me call the hospital who told me to come in and be assessed - turns out I was 9cm
So that's something I wish i'd known - that first births are NOT always long and drawn out and that when the midwife says call the hospital when the contractions are 3 mins appart YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO HER!Roseycosey :hello:0 -
I just re-read my last post and it sounds really smug. So sorry, I really didnt mean it to come over that way. It's just that I heard so many scary birth stories while I was pregnant it was such a relief to have a pretty easy delivery.
I still spent over an hour saying 'I can't do this' mind!It started to get on my own nerves, let alone anyone elses! This was mainly cos I am a total wuss, but also cos the midwife kept telling me off for not pushing enough so I thought DD had hardly moved.

bump bump bumpOh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY0

I had DD on the Monday, and as with most c-secs, they make you have the worst wind...I was in my own room due to DD being in the scubu.
And the wind is AWFUL. Not only do you trump for England for the first few days, it stinks too...:silenced:Lurker extraordinaire :cool:0 -

That is terrible!
Both mine were in SCBU. First time he did come into the ward after I had him, but had to be moved in the middle of the night. I was moved into a single room at lunch time. Worst bit was trying to express milk and this guy yells out 'whats that bloody noise?' (it was the machine, you know, shu-shu-shu-shu) His partner tells him its someone expressing milk, to which he replied 'well, why is she doing it here?' Ignorant !!!!!!.
Second time, I had an emergency c section and when well enough to be moved from labour ward, 3 days later, I was given a single room. I didn't know anyone who was left on a post delivery ward without their baby. If there was no single rooms, they were put in the pre-natal ward with the pregnant patients.0 -
