These are afterwards things but still hopefully relevant...
Get your revenge on your OH by wearing his pants afterwards, they are SO comfortable and wide enough to fit the big hospital sanitary towels inside;)
If you eat enough chocolate your milk tastes different...
If you spend all day in bed crying, sleeping, feeding the baby, crying, nobody will notice, you are supposed to be 'on top of the world' because you have a baby.
You can have out of body experiences. I darent open my eyes once because I felt as though I was inside my baby daughter's body. Midwife told me this is not totally unusual.
Another 'during' pg thing, if you need the glucose tolerance test be warned you may get a sadistic nurse who keeps a large tin of biscuits in her desk when you have not been able to eat for hours. Then again you may get a sweetheart.
Attempts to strangle OH during labour do not actually work :eek:Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
I have done reading too!

I had this! Well kind of.I've never heard anyone else having it though. While I didn't think I was inside someone else, I didn't feel like me. I knew what I was doing but it was like I was outside watching me.
It sounds very hard to explain. It was after the birth of my first baby. It lasted for about 3-4 weeks. I had a bad birth (kiellands forceps, roatation and delivery - that was written on my baby's name tag. I'll never forget that!) and lost quite a bit of blood. I think it was overtiredness. It did feel very weird, and I thought i'd never feel normal again.
The only other time it happened was when I was newly pregnant with baby number 2.0 -
Can I recommend a fab book? I am not affiliated with them or anything but I got this out of the library along with 20 others and this one stood out! I owe my whole birth experience to this- sounds cheesy but I had a nightmare time with my 1st two labours, panic attacks, completely tensed up, scared...but I breezed through the birth of my 3rd baby after following the advice in here.
It basically focusses loads on making the birth a positive experiece, talks you through writing a good birth plan (which I wasn't even going to do!) by asking you to think about what your fears are and what you can do to prevent your fears being realised, also how to prepare for the unexpected, realaxation techniques etc.
Anyway it is this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blooming-Birth-How-Pregnancy-Want/dp/0007184018/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/026-7458206-6689218?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1192189283&sr=8-1
