Just had to tell you all. The hubby is wanting me to have another baby, mine is still only 15 months! Had the worst labour ever, baby didnt want to come out, had membrane sweep (nice) - nothing, sex (difficult) - nothing, long walk (exhausting) - nothing, curry (indigestion) - nothing, bloody bouncy ball in hospital (what is that all about?) - nothing, puncture of waters with what looked like a knitting needle (ouch!!!) - nothing. FINALLY I was induced and nine hours later out baby comes face first , lost 2 ltrs of blood, third degree tear and manual removal of placenta (lovely) under emergency general anesthetic. All with no pain relief except gas and air (think they forgot to put the gas in though!!).

Do him a deal - you'll have another if he does the labour bit this time...

Some idiot recommends that you take castor oil to hurry your labour up you believe the idiot get the oil the first spoonful makes you vomit and if you unfortunately manage to get any in to you you can't leave the house for two days as you are producing an oil slick in the toilet and every move you makes produces more.
Kids DO Not try this at home it is horrendous and the midwife gave me a ticking off for doing it knew I shouldn't have listened to my old aunt she also tried to convince me you can catch STI's from toilet seats lol

    Hi All

I have just read over 150 posts and am now a mum of 1- 2 year old boy. We tried for 11 years before falling pregnant. PCOS)

At 28 weeks i got carpel tunnel and ended up with splints for both hands.

At 31 weeks in / out hospital 5 times with high BP this was lovely three days peeing in a jug collecting the urine, having BP checkd evey two hours. Best thing about this was hearing his heartbeat twice a day.

At 35 weeks BP sky high headaches now get pre-clampsia.

Started me off at 10pm on Tuesday with prostin gel.
Another prostin at 8am then another at 2pm.
Now here is where it got interesting
Wanted to have a wee. Been on monitor for three hours he wouldn't lay still little monkey. Got off the bed bent down to put knickers on and waters broke like a flood gate opening. DH rushing round to move the bags off the floor.
I finished leaking and got on the bed. and had another contraction. and    oh my god loads more came gushing out. NO ONE TOLD ME THAT ONE. I thought waters gone meant all gone lol but every contraction for an hour i leaked and leaked.
I had an epidural about 9:30 and after a few hours i wanted to push but there was a problem. Baby was in distress they needed to do assisted delivery vontouse. My epidural was upped cause if the ventouse didn't work it was a csection.
The doctor came and said ok time to get this baby episiotomy then he pulled i pushed twice and out came my darling miracle boy at 03:20 am weighing 7lb 1oz (at 5 weeks early thank god).
Jake was fine but he went all clammy and he had to go under a heater and a little later he ended up in an incubator with a tube down his nose for feeding. This delayed my milk coming in and i had to take some tablets to help the milk come in which was never really good flow and he always had to have a bottle top up. I carried on with the bf and the expressing and feeding jake first then bottle top up. I fed him myself for 21 months after this.
A few days later he was fine and we were allowed to come home.
I never got the after pains or the piles but i did get the stretch marks, but i would do it all again tomorrow if i was lucky enough to get the chance to do so.

Haha! Actually you can. Well, someone with advanced syphyllis develops sores on their body, and the infection can be spread through the weeping sores. If they were to sit on the toilet and pop a sore... well, insanity and death follows. Fortunately, it's easily treatable and the chances of encountering anyone with such advanced syphylis is rare. Fun fact though, eh?

Oh, this thread is great, it is satisfying my baby hunger and acting as an effective contraceptive at the same time!

    xx

I stopped being able to brush my teeth for 2 minutes - I'd start to gag etc. Even now, 6 months later I am only up to a minute and a half!
    The IVF worked;DS born 2006.
