I'm not sure if it's been mentioned already but:

they tell you how much your sleep will be disturbed once you've had the child but not before

I don't think I've had a good night's sleep since I got pregnant and it's not just the getting up to pee 100 times a night either it's the weird dreams, the leg cramps, indigestion, the baby kicking and the 100s of other things that stop you sleeping through.

Justie I know just how you feel, I'm coming up for 25 weeks now but haven't had a full nights sleep since new year!!

I haven't quite caught up with the whole thread yet, but I'd forgotten just how fast your milk comes out - I keep spraying my poor little DD's face with milk, it's like a jet stream! I'm having to express some down the sink before I feed her, otherwise she ends up nearly drowning!

    HI

I have just found out I am preggers, just wondering if anyone knew if I had emergency casearan iwth my first child. Do I get the option of having a elective caesaran this time? Also is there a limit to how many caesarans you can have?
    :j BABY A :j
  • depending on the circumstances they will probably encourage you to have a vaginal birth this time, but you should speak to your midwife.
I dont know how many they can actually do, but i know its a bit harder for them to do repeat C sections because you already have scarring,
but if you need one... then you will probably get one!

I think that generally speaking 3 sections is the most that they suggest. Again, depending on the situation that caused the emergency determines whether a section is automatically given the next time. Usually, they like to try for vaginal.
