I didn't have C-Sect with either of mine but heard about the shaving thing. I admit I'm a bit vain but I went for a bikini wax and a pedicure the week before.
I can't stand the thought of manky feet and spider legs :rotfl:
I don't know about anyone else but I used to be very embarassed when I had to take a sample to appointments. No matter how undignified the birth bit is, having someone check your wee in front of you made me blush:smileyhea0 -
That you could be sick morning noon and night for 9 months - then 12 times during labour and 3 after - that was with dd, wasn't sick once with ds.
That when the epidural only worked on one side it would feel as if that leg was paralysed. I was so desperate to make it move that it fell off the bed when I was in the delivery room by myself and just dangled there because I couldn't lift it back up.0 -
Well merging these threds has confused me as i only found the other one this morning as booked marked to read tonight! now ive read the other one but dont feel like going through 43 pages and i was really looking forward to scaring myself about your scary birth stories!
I wont tell you about mine i think you have already put off the TTC! and the mummys to be:eek: :rotfl:
Its funny it doesnt take long to forget about the labour, then you add yourself to the TTC list again!Mum to 2 beautiful daughters born Oct 05 & Oct 08
It doesn't cost anything to smile!:hello: :starmod: :starmod: :starmod: :starmod::starmod:0 -
I had a section with ds and they did not shave me at all (phew) I did have a tidy up every week from week 37 so it would not be too difficult to do if they had too.
My best bit was when they came to speak to me after my section and told me not to worry about the scar and that I would still be able to wear bikinis ( YEAH RIGHT LIKE I WAS GOING TO WORRY ABOUT THE SCAR SHOWING WITH A BELLY POUCH HANGING OVER IT!!!!!!)

Has anyone experianced numbness below the boob and above the navel. I was shopping today and went numb for about 5 minutes. My hands are numb when I wake up but I have been told this is normal and will go away after the birth, it not everynight either.
But the tummy numbness was new to me0 -

I had this with my last pregnancy. It felt really strange.....but I had forgotten about it till you mentioned it!! I seem to recall it starting when I was about 30 weeks.

My feet went up a size too - luckily they shrunk back after a couple of weeks after.

My friend is a midwife and she said she walked in on a couple have sex the day after the wife had given birth. She just said she would come back later and walked out. When she next saw the husband he apologised but said he just had to know how it felt. My friend said "well?" and he replied "roomy":eek:0 -

they tell you to wait 6 weeks for good reasons but don't explain how dangerous it can be
if the cervix hasn't properly closed then air can be forced through the uterus during sex and into the body causing death from an air embolus
rather than joking about it the midwife talked about above should have explained the dangers0
