So much for the "It'll sort itself out by a year", then! As for the corset thing, it took all the skin off my hips!
Oh, so I wasn't the only one sent off home and told i'll be fine by the time DS is 12 months old. BTW he's starting school in a fortnight and the SPD hasn't cleared up at all.
I also got sciatica-type probs down one leg. I was told that was just because the baby was lying on a nerve and it'd get better when (a) baby moves or (b) when i give birth or (c) within 12 months of having the baby. Well the REAL answer is (d) it doesn't get better!!!.
I also get the SPD 'crack' sound too. What exactly is it? When i asked the consultant he told me that it's just "nothing to worry about" [which didn't actually answer my question...]0 -
Ah yes.....Mummy Brain Syndrome......also known as Mummy Memory. I'd forgotton about that:rotfl:Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

I'm only 12 weeks and have gotton forgetful already.
Fot a bit teary on Tuesday - went to Tesco for a cooked breakfast and couldn't remember the names of anything! I had to point and say - 2 of that etc.
Luckily, the lady asked if I was okay, - I mentioned I was just a bit forgetful lately and she replied - ah yes, your pregnant aren't you, I remember it well! Didn't feel so bad then!0 -

Ooh yes, almost forgot, another secret ....
How far your new sprinkler breasts are able to shoot milk, its a wonder the poor babies dont choke.
I was sat on the settee, a good 12 foot away from the gas fire, when off comes DD1, (in front of 4 friends!!!- so much for discreet!!) and the milk squirts right into the gas fire with an enormous hiss!!! How embarassing, but really funny, too !!!:rotfl:If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
I can't feel anything from my c-sec scar to the middle of my stomach, it's totally numb and I could literally get my stomach caught in the zip and not know, I am down for my next c-sec on either the 7th, 8th or 11th Dec, my last baby was 8lb 15oz 2 weeks early.......I am 5ft, size 3 1/2 feet, my GP bet me that I wouldn't have it naturally...apparently if I had gone ful term he would og been 11lb thank beep it was c-sec and 2 weeks early, he didn't fit in any clothes as it was!!!!Oh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY0

After a couple of years at home with toddlers you can loose your ability to make adult conversation.
I remember OH's best friend from school visiting us from the NZ a couple of months after our youngest had been born.
I made a lovely meal for everyone and put it infront of him on the table, absent mindedly accompanied by the information "Careful - hot!" in the same way as I told my 2yr DS1.
"S'okay darl", says he, "I've got jet lag not brain damage!"
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.
Oi you lot - pleaseGIVE BLOOD
- you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.

go to your GP and ask to be referred to physio if it's still bad. I had SPD with my 2nd and was begging to be induced as I couldn't move, sleep, sit etc and I have BIG babies! I was also told it'll clear up by itself blah, blah, blah but there comes a point where you have to think 'I need to do something about this!'.
I've been going for physio for over a year, had to carry on wearing the corset thing for over 6 months and had lots of accupuncture. It's just getting better now and I can stand for more than 20 minutes again and finally able to turn over in bed without a military operation :rotfl:
Seriously, though, if it's still giving you problems please don't ignore it, you could make things worse.:smileyhea0 -
