yep delain just remebered!!! that hurts used to buy the blucky pads and use two on top of each other. Also put a clean pad in the freezer to cool it down for relief! oh no its all coming back to me what I have coming in the next few weeks!!!!!!!
remain calm and listen to your body and you'll be fine my 2nd baby was 1.5lbs bigger than my first  but I felt human much sooner afterwards and needed fewer stitches despite the weight of baby and length of labour being almost the same as 1st time0 -
Bit OT but you can get a great natural iron supplement called spatone which is liquid and you drink it with orange juice. Dr said its more effective than the pills and its about £4 for a 2 week supply! And you don't get constipation or black poo.
I brought the liquid spatone today from holland and barret buy one get one half price. I have 2months supply for under a tenner. I mixed one with orange juice this afternoon and must admit it was ok no difference. A small price of a tenner to save the black poo and constipation. Oh the joys you share when pregnant:D

Gosh so many things!
That you'll get period pains still!
You'll convince yourself you must be bleeding but its just discharge (luvly!)
You wont believe one pregnancy test - you'll only believe 25 of them!
A line wont be enough, you NEED it to spell out PREGNANT
You use more pads than when you wern't pregnant!
You know exactly where your bladder is cos its being kicked and bounced on and you will feel like you need to wee whenever you walk - and sometimes you do (but it's ok cos you are wearing pads anyway heehee)
Huge poos that take 2 hours to get out, cos youre frightened to push incase you give birth
Toothpaste makes you gag so you buy fruit baby toothpaste, but then actual bruushing makes you vomit in the sink
You sleep sitting up cos you have bad heartburn
You have sexy dreams!
Then comes the moment you first feel the baby move...and this just starts you worrying more!
You panic if you wake up on your back!
The only topic of conversation you have is pregnancy!
Everything smells rank - and especially yourself - and you can smell things from 50 paces away. You could get a job as a sniffer dog!
Inductions dont always work.
After a c cestion you get injections in the belly for a week.
Your wound can open up!
... but despite everything you would go through it all again.50p/£24.00 Xmas 2010:rudolf:

the 2nd time isn't as bad
remain calm and listen to your body and you'll be fine my 2nd baby was 1.5lbs bigger than my first  but I felt human much sooner afterwards and needed fewer stitches despite the weight of baby and length of labour being almost the same as 1st time
Totally agree
With my third I was out of hospital 4 hours after delivery, got home and felt absolutely fine - no pain or anything. Even posted on a forum I visit regularly before I went to bed and no one could believe I was back posting so soon :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I thought as a nurse and having worked in maternity I knew it all!!!! What a fool I am!
Pregnancy: 'morning' sickness that is all day and night sickness that would result in me sleeping for 5min periods only and these would be conducted with my head on the toilet. This sickness would not pass and would remain throughout pregnancy.
Dodgy hips, one ending up 6inches higher than the other which not only caused extreme pain but also meant I had a limp!!!
Not all babies do what they should and some stubborn beggars will spread themselves across your stomach before settling their bum in your pelvis and refusing to budge!!
Never believe a male consultant when they say that trying to turn your breech baby will only be 'mildly' uncomfortable!! I had bruised hand prints that proved different.
Delivery:
Planned section....had the wit to attend for waxing so no need for NHS razor action!! This did not deter 3 midwives and a nursing auxiliary from checking my regions to see if they were satisfactorily hair free.
Given the option of catheter in before or after I got spinal block..I opt for after, not realising this meant I would have no leg control and would therefore require 2 midwives and 2 theatre staff to open my legs for me and hold them in position until catheter was inserted.:o
Having one of the previously mentioned theatre staff pop her head up and say..."you're Rebecca aren't you?"....friends mother!!
That having a spinal block will not prevent you from feeling like the doctors are washing dishes inside you and worrying that a hand may come out your throat.
After:
That boobies will get bigger again, pre pregnancy 36DD, end of pregnancy 38F, 3 days later please contact local parachuting club for suppliers!!
Baby blues day....I literally woke up on day 3 and burst into tears, nothing could stop me!! I went to bathroom to shower and try and sort myself out but heat of shower made boobs explode in volcano style with milk for lava!!
You will be so tired you don't register being tired you just glide through in a foggy state until suddenly you get 3hrs consecutive sleep and feel like you can never open your eyes again!!
Above all nobody ever told me time would go by so quickly and that before I knew it my newborn baby would be 3 and I'd wonder how the hell did that happen??! And also that yes, those bad memories do fade and your body starts thinking maybe you could do it all again!!?;)

Today being 24/01/10 and I'm nearly 19weeks pregnant!!!
I did forget or if not forget I played down in my head how bad it was/is! I'm still taking anti sickness tablets now, I'm already limping, I've hunted out the V pillow and cannot sleep without it, I vary between constipation and the runs due to the sickness, I even had a touch of heartburn today!
I came home from work about 2 weeks ago in tears and said to DH "I'm never doing this again, please don't let me ever get pregnant again, if I say I want another baby then please remind me of this and don't go along with my wishes"
DH replied "I told you so"
Oh and I nearly forgot......the BOOBS!!!! They must know what to expect 2nd time round as they decide to expand even earlier and have already started producing.......current bra size is around a 36G/GG, I dread to think what they will be like come day 3 post baby!0 -
Beccan- thanks for the heads up on the catherater! they don't tell you these things.
lousie- I so hope I am fine after like you
Heartburn that can be more painfull than period pain, I kid you not.
Sickness- No it does not always stop at 12 weeks :mad: 27 weeks with DS and 26 weeks this pregnacy. I took tablets that disolves under lip, would sob if I ever left the house without them.
And no! pineappple, sex and curry doesn't always start you off!!!!
Can't you tell I'm at the end of my pregnancy !!:rotfl::rotfl::o :rotfl:0 -
oh the catheter, I've never had one but my hubby has and from what he said I'd rather the indignity of having my legs moved (they'd see your foof anyway if you were giving birth vaginally) than the pain of feeling it inserted :eek:0

After having a section, every time I breastfed for the first 3 days I had terrible afterpains. I didnt know what they were and thought something really bad was wrong with me. They felt like bad contractions and I had to breathe through the pain.
I actually logged on here to see if anyone knew what the hell was going on. When I discovered they were afterpains and normal all I wanted to know was how long this would go on for, in my case it eased after 3 days.0 -
these pains mrs moc are not just from c section , u get them after 2nd and future births as its your uterus shrinking back to original size and more babies , makes it stretch more and has more to shrink back too, i hate this part of after giving birth , i am now nearly due my 4 th baby and will have strong pain kilers ready and waitingDont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0
