It's def worth it
- just think at least you'll know all the 'Best Kept Secrets'
oh and another one - my waters just trickled out over the course of an hour or so. No big gush or anything which was what I expected - if I'd have been in a deeper sleep I might not have even noticed!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I had a quick look, but it only worried me more! I think I will give it a miss until after I have the baby, then I can share my own story! Hopefully with no accidental pooing!! :rotfl::heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Oh Gosh Ladies!
I'm feeling really scared now! I'm pregnant with my first baby and had no idea what I was letting myself in for!
Please somebody tell me that its all worth it as I'm feeling quite worried now.
I did it all again with surprise number 3 even after being told I should be dead because of number 2's dramatic birth and complications that went along with it! Along with the hyperemesis and SPD and twice weekly visits to hospital all the way through the pregnancy before that.
When you hold that tiny little bundle against you for the first time and every time afterwards, smelling their hair and feeling their warmth and little face nuzzling into you, it's all worth it. (and that set my boobs off!):rotfl:0 -

I completely agree!! I was always horrified at the thought of "pooing" during labour, When you're actually there there's sod all you can do!!! I didn't even notice, It was only when I saw the midwife putting a glove on and lifting it out the pool i thought oh no
I'm usually a really shy person and was mortified even getting into the pool when the midwife said no knickers. By the end I was starkers with a giant light shone on my bits with three people down that end saying " oh that was a hard push - look how it changes shape!" and not giving a toss!
I'd do it again a million times. As soon as you have them in your arms you don't care how terrible it was :j0 -
Have to say that as somone currently child free but kind of contemplating it I really can't see why anyone would put themselves through this !! Think I'll give it a miss after all - glad I found all this at this early stage !0

surely you knew already that giving birth isn't exactly fun?
I know some right horror stories but they didn't stop me doing it. At least we live in a time where medical aid is available, now giving birth in a cave in 500BC or whatever - now that is scary!!:D0 -
