Hi everyone
Chalky - how is William? I hope he is getting used to the plaster cast, bless him.
Pippa - I do hope the things that have not been going well for you are getting better now. Your reminiscences of teenage boys made me laugh. I also miss those days! It can be exasperating having young lads in the house but it's never ever quiet, is it?! Both my boys, now with careers, homes, and families of their own, have made me very proud but, as old as they are now, to me they are still just 'boys'!
I am sort of spring cleaning at the moment - I say 'sort of' because I remember when I was younger that I would just keep at it at a rate of knots; these days, I have many coffee breaks so it takes longer and seems so much more of a chore! Still, I shall have a woolly afternoon; I am still working on a cushion for my dear sister but I blocked it yesterday so will need to check to see if it's ready for finishing off. Meanwhile, I have started another blanket.
Jean - I know you recommended Marriner's yarns some time ago, but it seems they don't deliver outside the UK (which is a shame because the prices are great). Do you know of anyone else who delivers to Europe?
Anyway, I have done the update, which you can find here:

Morning all, sorry been MIA lately. Have 'Edna' visiting again but hopefully she'll hop back on to her black cloud and buzz off soon.
Kathy, are you sure they don't send to France ? There's a bit in their terms and conditions about overseas customs charges etc so I assumed they would send overseas. Might be wrong of course.
Chalky, do hope that wee man isn't too bothered by that cast. I can imagine he'll be very frustrated that he can't run about and play. Dread to think how little J would be if he was in that position. Unbearable springs to mind.
Bobbly blanket is finished and GD's cushion cover as well, and back on the grannies and hats again, with the odd hedgie for a change. Small stuff till Edna pushes off.
Back later maybe.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

Hi everyone

Hi Kathy - here's a couple
http://woolwarehouse.co.uk standard charge for delivery to France £6.99 per package (up to 2kg max) wool/yarn prices are reasonable
http://thewoolshop.ie flat rate delivery to most of europe £2.35 yarn prices a bit more expensive
I'll try to remember to look out for delivery options as I'm browsing around.
luv Pam xxPam.:hello:0 -

Hi, Elaine; on the main website they say they deliver to the UK, and Guernsey and Jersey only. I have read the T&Cs and they do refer to overseas orders - I'll email them! Hope Edna keeps away from you.
Thanks, Jean and Pam, thank you both for the links; I will take a look. I will be able to buy when I visit the UK next month, but I'm starting to panic about running out of wool now. I have lots of odds and sods that I am using up. At least I am working my way through my stash, something I thought I would never do!

It's that PREDICTIVE TEXT STUFF - catches me out all the time.
NOTE to ALL MUMS:- BOYS ARE BORN WITH HOLLOW LEGS
and they NEVER ever FILL THEM OUT......so you have to keep feeding them and their mates indefinitely - well that's what I have found so far!
x
It's even worse when you are lying in your bed and they arrive home at some silly o'clock in the morning with at least 3 mates in tow and decide that they really can't get to
bed till they have had a fry up...................the smell permeating through the house is enough to awaken the dead (or my DH!! - who then really does
want a bacon sanny and a pint of milk)! LOVE EM
