morning all sunny but raining here at the mo....bloomin cold though

chalky - ooo well done... we bought the WW yesterday it was dated 25thMarch but no sign of your cheery face, will keep an eye out for the next issue perhaps it will be in that one
kathy - hope things start happening with the house now you have changed agents...money for nothing some of these agents get
psso - hope your lurgy is on the way out now, we have had coughs ever since we got back from holiday and they are just hanging around and nothing seems to help just have to run its course I guess

I am having the same probs with colours that ginny was having, Mom asked me to do a flower throw for her in brown, fawn, beige, cream all neutral colours and it is not inspiring me at all, after not touching it for a few days I had a rootle through my stash and found a ball of yarn in a sort of darkish apricot shade and have started a square in that perhaps that will zing it up a bit without being too bright...Any ideas on colours most welcome :)

    update to follow kathy
Hope all the poorlys are feeling a little better today, love to all Anne x

Hello one and all and lots of Chalky love tucked in. You are such a lovely lot. The article is in the issue dated the 26th. One of my friends managed to put a sneak preview on Facebook because her Mum gets sent her copies by post and I guess they must be early. IYSWIM.
Thank you for the bloggy love.

Ginnyyour throw looks beautiful I know what you mean exactly. Some of the things I think are never going to work seem to turn out for the best. To be honest I think it is the border choices which are most important as that pulls it all together. Hope you feel more yourself soon.

pippa I love a bit of green.. Sage maybe with those colours. Hope you are both ok. Another cruise booked yet?

mrs m do you mind the hedgies hibernating with you until the beginning of May. We get home then and I know the hospital will be clamouring for them. Thank you again so much :)

psso lots of love to you. Use that time as best you can to get strong. I have heard that cake, biscuits and vino are best for building you up ... And lots of " j " hugs as well of course.

Roamin your garden sounds lovely. I hope the sun is shining for you and kathy

f1 i hope things are good in your neck of the woods. Are you still filling those pots?

Lots of love to all the Mia's

Well you will laugh at this. We were having a quiet morning as Dd1 and her partner are coming for the next 12 days. All of a sudden the Skype went off and there was William looking at us saying " Grandad read Mr Happy!"
He had done it all on his own. Turned on Skype, found our picture and opened it up. He was grinning from ear to ear and Mummy was laughing too when she realised what he had done. Of course we soon read 5 books and he went off a happy bunny. Not bad for 2 and a quarter!!!!

I am working on 2 large Granny's just now. I separated the wool that was given to me because the poor woman has been banned from knitting because the clicking gets on her daughter in laws nerves, into pastels and neutrals. And I have wouldn't each set up into one very large ball. By placing complementary colours next to each other as you wind the final result is amazingly pleasing from just odd balks. Well I think so anyway:)

So I have just the borders to add which I will make using a single colour from my stash . Then it will be a Tah Dah moment.

Posting may be a bit erratic over the next 2 weeks as visitors lead me astray. Out to Tapas etc ,etc. So love to you alll
Try and do a good deed every day.

they are snuggled in the cupboard so no trouble they might even have time to multiply before then;)

Well, my Woman's Weekly is dated 25th March and doesn't have a Chalky article in it.:(
Maybe Scottish ones have different contents, like we sometimes don't get the same telly programmes.

Like the sound of the 'build up' regime......cake,biscuits,vino and J's hugs would be much better than complan.

Bobbly blanket is coming on slowly, granny squares are much quicker.
DD1 and Dgd were well impressed with it though.Dgd thought it would be great as a pillow for her bedroom in the right colours of course. Must try to remember where I got the black/grey/white stuff. She has a birthday in September.;)

Little J reckons it's his turn for the kindle before he goes to bed.

    See you later.

Thank you Psso, yes its a hexagon. The blanket is coming on nicely some lovely shades of blue in it. Also doing a cross stitch as my head is all over the place with this damned flu.

Yay :j:jgot the Ww and there is our dear Chalky, am going to take it to show Mum on Friday as she loves hearing about my friends.

Hubby is up and about today and has managed a few meals the last few days. We are crossing our fingers that we can go out tomorrow for an hour, lunch at the garden centre (happens to have a craft shop on site :T) then possibly a look in a couple of charity shops.

Hope everyone has better weather than us at the moment, its bloomin freezing here! Hugs to all xxx
