anakat - your scarf is so delicate looking I love it, but the skinny needles hmmm not my favourites to work with, but I must say well done you it is gorgeous :T

edit: psso sorry I forgot to say well done to your new chauffeur on passing the driving test :T0 -
Hello you lovely lot. Caught on the back foot again but needed a couple of quiet days after the weekend to regroup and put all the pieces together. And they all seem to fit beautifully so now it's upwards and onwards.
Sadly as they drove off Andy announced he was not feeling well and with that began a 24 sickness bug. Completely wiped him out. Luckily nobody else has had it so goodness knows what that was about.
So I sorted, tidied, regrouped and hooked for a good day and a half and am now my usual Chalky self! I have just had to take a selfie for this Cancer awareness thing. I did not even know how to turn the camera around!!!! Anyway I never wear much make up so don't look a lot different!!!! Apparently they have made over 1 million pounds in 1 day. The power of the Internet! All good in this case.
Talking of good.... In case you need a target for your darts board my little bit of life at Chalky's World is being published in Women's Weekly on the 26th March. I did not write it but it is making me smile.
I wish DMIL was still alive she bought all the magazines and would have been tickled pink to see me peeping out of the pages!

I delivered all the Easter goodies to the Charity shop today they were really pleased so that is good. Now I have cleared that out of the way I am starting a new Chevron baby blanket for the special wooden box. No baby's on the way but you live in hope!
I have not had a chance to read back yet but will do and be right back. But I send lots of love to each and every one of you xxxxTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
OOOO MRS.........Now when I get asked do I know anyone famous I can say YES...........CHALKY my cyber chum. Well done for the forthcoming article, you look lovely and if you hadn't pointed out the boobie fiasco I for one would never have noticed
F1 - GET INTO THAT CRAFT ROOM - and sort out that loom sock pattern - YOU can and will do it.
I have spent a most enjoyable day out in the greenhouse - started of washing it all down outside and inside - there was more water on ME than the glass. Then did a bit of nesting, with all the pots - washed them stacked them, sorted what was to be chucked etc. After lunch got started on seed sewing - everything is now tucked up safe and warm and I will now await the arrival of the first lot of leaves popping out.... love that feeling. Polytunnel just got a swift watering as its really windy and suddenly got extremely cold I certainly didn't want to spend too long out there, so am in now and will go and have a shower and relax.

Well done, Chalky! I hope I get to see the article. I shall have to ask someone in the UK to buy me a copy! Hopefully, it will be available online. Hope DH is feeling a lot better now.
We've had another lovely sunny day, just like summer, so I hope it lasts.
Pippa - no news on a house sale yet; we have changed some of the agents we had placed it with (some of them do absolutely nothing at all!), and will go on keeping our fingers crossed. Two lots of friends here who also want to move back to the UK are in exactly the same position; it just seems to be a very slow market here.
I have dug out my ladder yarn, and will have a go at a necklace later on this evening. They look easy to make; it would be great to be able to make them as presents. I shall make one for my Mum to put in with the presents I have bought her for Mothering Sunday.
Anyway, off to start the dinner. That bit of life never changes, does it?

Have finally finished my latest throw. I didnt like the pink and blue my friend sent but carried on regardless and Wow it looks good. Now doing 6 sided (cant remember the name) shapes in blues for a baby blanket - getting prepared as Dil is a twin and we have them in our family too. I think she is looking to try for a baby - or 2- near Christmas so want a box full of stuff ready.
F1 will be posting you a parcel for the charity sale in Monday, been poorly all week, think its the damn flu jab laid me low.
Dgs snoozing as ever on the couch - I love my SaturdaysOH is in bed too as he is very weak at the mo.
Hugs to all, will be searching out a Womans weekly tomorrow so I can see my dear friend and show my Mum xxClearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
Afternoon all, hope you are well.
Ginnyknit - hexagon - is that the word you were looking for? Well done on sticking with the yarn you weren't keen on.
I'm so pleased I'm getting that pompom yarn used up at last. Was getting fed up of it whispering in the corner......" use me for something" It really was annoying when I was trying to sleep.
Had a letter from hospital saying I have been marked as "unavailable" until 31st March so obviously they are giving me time to get rid of this cough. Can concentrate on crafting for a few days then.
I bought a Woman's Weekly today but no Chalky in it. Was it last week, have I missed it ?
Off to crack on with my wallpapering, nearly finished the kitchen. DD1 is coming to check up on me tonight so might rope her in as 'Dave'.
Enjoy your evenings everyone.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.
