Wish I'd known Jean, we went to the shop today -it was far too nice to be inside - so following your advice to Mrs mp yesterday- I took the day off.
Bought some more lace in various colours and said a friend had/would be placing an order online. She did say they were having problems with their computer. It's about 40 minutes drive away, so a nice wee trip on a fine day.
Well, went to big orange diy shed and bought new carpet tiles, more grout for tiles etc then decided to skive off, can't do anything else till his nibs gets the tiles done, tonight hopefully.
Been sewing up the latest blanket so might be finished tonight or tomorrow. It got set aside to do the hedges.
Off to feed a hungry young man and his uncle.

best not risk another day off but might get the machine out for an hour (or two) in the morning. after DH went back work i got it out again and made a double mitred edge panel to go round a tiger id cross stitched, need to find some fabric for the back of the cushion cover. ive only just put the machine away i now have 17 mins to clear sewing debris up, stuff things back in the cupboard wash the dinner pots and look like ive got a meal on the go for tonight LOL
hope you manage to get your lace ordered
hope you enjoyed your day off as well psso, sounds like yours was more productive than mine.SPC~12 ot 124

Oh dear
I bought yarn well I was so inspired by Chalkys blue blanket and the blues on the shelf looked perfect to go with the 2 balls I bought yesterday...... and when I got them home they looked so yummy together....and I can do a boys blanket just in case to go with the quilt :rotfl:
Anakat that scarf is beautiful, a real labour of love.
Mrs MP such a pretty and personal bit of sewing, well worht the work.
Must go and get on with the throw for my friend so I can start the blue one - halfway through :T
Chalky thank you for thinking of me, keeps me going on long days like today. Hubby went back to bed at 3 pm and has been having nightmares on and off so have been running up and down stairs - who needs a gym. Have lovely time with your family and their friends, such a lovely looking couple, the kindness shines from them.Clearing the junk to travel light

Hello one and all and  to the lurkers as well.
Just chillaxing here with my trusty hook going round the edges of the blanket. Not sure if I`ll finish tonight, the old eyes are having a bit of bother focussing so might have an early bed.
Mrs mp - that cushion is seriously beautiful. Your mum will love it I`m sure.
Anakat - the teeny needles make the scarf worthwhile - it`s lovely and cosy looking.
Jean - errrrr - why do I have to confirm pattern for hedgies ? Did I miss something ?
Chalky - did I mention that your blanket is lovely as well. Brain fades in and out I`m afraid.
While I was at THE shop the woman showed me an Easter chick which she had in the window and said it was very popular in the village. (Pattern on website )They are used for fundraising for the local school and cottage hospital at this time of year. Now I don`t do teeny weeny things like chicks but it was quite cute. Seems to need a lot of lace for it though. Hmmm, maybe next year.
Grumpy is grouting the wall tiles tonight so better sneak in and fill the hottie while he`s not looking.

Hi everyone
I love the hedgies, love the scarf, and love the cushion. What creative ladies we have on here!
Ginnyknit - I hope you have a much better day today.
Chalky - I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your daughter!
Jean - what a lovely spend-up you had!
I have been working on both my blankets and quite enjoying going from one to the other, especially as I am really getting to the bottom of my stash and leaving great big gaps that will need filling up again!
Well, the sun is beaming again today; after all those weeks of grey skies and rain, it's such a wonderful sight to wake up to!
Have a great day, everyone.

Can't stop, have to do my bit in the kitchen while his nibs is at work. Hate decorating the kitchen as everything gets in such a muddle. Can't even put the kettle on without a palaver.
Jean, I'll go with the lainesworld pattern I think for the lacy ones, wee fat frilly ones. Be a bit different from the long haired lashy
Ooh I don't like posting from the kindle. Keeps putting in stupid words I don't want and I have to go back and change them. Greer.

My order (only spent half a ton) is on its WAY ! talk about excited - might need new breeks shortly!
PSSO - you shifted the sniffles yet? or is it the paint fumes that are causing them?? I ask cos I know days are running oot for the hop - it - all! PREDICTIVE TEXT - the bane of my life - texts in French and English never get me the right words - refuse to use the Kindle for messaging for the same reasons give me a keyboard any day of the week (it can be French or English-at least I know where the flippin keys are)
