Morning all, Sun is shining but it's a bit nippy outside.

Jean, thank you for putting Hermione's pic on for me, had to give her a girly name as Harry might object to being done in purple lace..........then again maybe not ;)
Tried photobucket again last night but it would not work for me. Must get to grips with it, strange cos I managed to get little J's pic on a month ago.

Mrs mp- do give the lace a try. It's a wee bit fiddly to start with but easy enough when you get going.

Off to get some painting done.
    Back later.

OH I can manage your time too if you like - take the day off!

i will print that out and stick it to the fridge door:T

i was going to iron but the craft cupboard is calling to me.

i did also look on amozin and they sell the sassy lace on there, that has eyelets along the edge so you just knit using that and no wool but i also liked the video you posted with the eyelets running up the middle of the yarn to make cute little lacy hedgies. decisions, decisions......

    Hi everyone

Jean - love the pics of the knitting-in lace. I bought some ages ago when I was knitting (which I can't do any more due to tendonitis). I have some left over so I shall have a go with crocheting with it instead. I don't see why it would not be possible. I remember buying the lace from Lainesworld, too. Hope you are finding time to breathe now and again in amongst all that busy-ness!

Elaine - hope the painting is going well.

I started another two blankets yesterday, one using the peach-coloured nubbly wool I found. It will make a nice lightweight blanket which I might try and line with some fleece at some point. Our lovely fabric shop has loads of different colours to choose from. The other blanket is going to be in squares using up all my oddments of pinks and peachy colours, along with cream to join them all together; I made the first two squares yesterday. I think I shall enjoy making the blankets side by side. The nubbly yarn is a little trickier to work with because it is delicate and I am using a small hook which is a little harder on the hands, so doing the squares in DK on a size 4mm hook will give my hands a break.

Anyway, it is another gorgeous day today and I have just filled both my washing lines. Our local farmer decided to have a bonfire yesterday so I couldn't put the washing out. Heaven only knows what he was burning but it made for some very dense smoke.

I have done the update which you can find here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhOgVamMPLdkdDREdE9nS2pPYTRlcFQ3Ujc5ekNKamc&usp=drive_web#gid=0

I have added my Lap blanket: 1
Right, now I am off to look in my lace collection for that knitting-in stuff! Have a great day, all of you!

brill ideais it just normal guttering and have you hung it off the greenhouse/poly tunnel frame? using what.
im picking your brains about planting as my friend i work with has just taken on the gardening job at school and i think this will be useful to her if you dont mind me stealing/borrowing it for her

re photobucket, i bung memory card from camera in slot in puter, box pops up asking what i want to do, near the bottom of the list is something like view images. i click that so all little pictures of my photos com up on a smaller screen then i have photo bucket open behind it i click upload photos on that then drag the images i want across onto the photobuket upload area.
