We have had a busy but productive weekend - I managed a little trip to our nearby homebase which was really good felt wobbly but tried not to show it to DOH - since what happened in the last month we are both trying to make some little changes - we have also had a little move around in the house as we brought a fridge/freezer from ebay and we wanted it back in the house (old one which died was in garage) that was delivered today and although it was immaculate condition wanted to give it a good clean - it was an absolute bargain and we are dead chuffed with it - hubby cant stop watching the display so I said I would cancel the tv licence at this rate :rotfl:
Anyway my tub is awaiting so I will be off
Thinking of you all and sending hugs xxxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -
Sorry for the choclaty finger prints on this missive but I am making what are now known as 'Chalkys biccies' I didnt get as many out of the mix as I should. Do you cut them to shape or just flatten spoonfuls? OMG they are moreish and very very fattening. But must make some for the entire family whilst taping my mouth up or all will be lost :rotfl:
Have done half of my shawl already as today was just to horrible weather to do more than crochet. Hugs F1 you are doing well getting out and about.
Anakat, Happy Birthday and I love the tin:DClearing the junk to travel light

Ha ha ... I wS even eating the uncooked mixture. A throwback to my childhood and I don't admit it to many . So,keep it under your hats!
Ginnyi just took little dollops and squashed them fairly flat.
I don't know how they say you get 100 biscuits.... But then again that might be right if the uncooked dough mixture stayed put in the bowl. I did not dip them in chocolate either. Another temptation and I would need an even bigger pair of trousers if there is chocolate around.
I would recommend anyone to try them as they are delicious .
f1bravo. Brilliant. Amazing. Well done you. Love to hear you are going out. I think of you often. And thank you for such kind words out my little bit of Blogland!
Well last night we really did have almost hurricane winds. First the Internet died and then it started crashing things around. It was unbelievable. At its worst roof pan yikes were flying off the roof of our little house and crashing on the terraces. They crashed into the sunbeds and smashed them. They made enough fillers for plant pits for life.
It was so strong it picked up our neighbours empty hot tub and it flew over her car and sadly dented it badly. She is 82 and lives alone but it was too dangerous to go out of the house and check on her.
This morning the ridge tiles are mostly gone and lots of others but we kept thinking of those on the Somerset levels and it puts all things into perspective.
Well I was gutted last night when the Internet went down because a freelance journalist living in France had asked me to do a Skype interview at 10.00 this morning. I did not have her phone number ,only email. But, do you know at 9.58 the Internet came back and we had a chat for 15 minutes. Not the best of connections but we shall see. She is now going to write the article and send me the proof copy before submitting it to the magazine published in the Uk. kathy i thought of you and your writing. Bless her she had numerous failed attempts at IVF and was almost suicidal. Today she has 4 !!!!!! Children under 4. I had to laugh this morning as she did not have the Skyoe camera on her end. I bet she has bags under her eyes and porridge on her face. Of I would have done at that stage in my child caring career.
Anyway. We shall see.
I am just sewing in the ends of the latest Lappy for the Cancer Charity here and also started some little hats from the links the other day.

F1 - what a lovely posting I am overjoyed you managed a trip to homebase - did you see the new kitchen chairs I ordered on line? They are currently sitting in packing boxes at my DWS - DH is going to go and collect them - I really thought I would get that job, he just hasn't said when....ggggrrrrr. Off to start THE blanket, photo to follow if it works.
Loads and loads of love and cuddles to you all - as I am sure you all know I would be lost without you and like many of you I thank the day I found you all.

Woke up to a very rainy morning but now it's snowing heavily I can hardly see out of the kitchen window...
I suppose I will just have to get the woolly stuff out and do something productive...;)
Just might get my knitting out and get at least a few inches of pattern done, one good thing at least it grows quick it's chunky James Brett Marble
Wish you lot would stop talking about biscuits I am getting cravings now...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I 'must not' give in or I will never get rid of the christmas blubber...:o

sending love 'n' hugs to you all Ax0 -
Good morning one and all. Please keep warm, dry and snow free. Crafting sounds the best option.
warning, warning, warning do not make those biscuits. They are far,far too tempting. I am actually finding myself sneaking into the kitchen to nibble one. I think even more delicious made with butter as they taste so ..... Buttery!
jean your knits are lovely. Those hats look so snugly.
pippa your work will be so lovely. So glad you had a lovely meet up with Sue.
mrs Moneypenny [/B What an achievement. My staying power rarely stays long so that would never have got finished in my lifetime.
Butterfly habits die hard. I am flitting about all over the place at the moment. I have to sew in the ends of latest Lappy. Been knitting some baby hats for hospital here and now have started the first square on a Spring Daisy blanket.
I hope lots of you are just very busy doing nice things not wet, cold or entertaining Edna !!!Try and do a good deed every day.0
