:) snap great minds or ...........
  • That bag is begging to go SHOPPING! Gorgeous creation there. Well there is no rain or wind at all this morning which is a bit worrying! Haven't heard if the boat sailed but am certain that they will get home somehow today.
KIT1 - a warm WELCOME to you, those wee hats are so addictive you will be making boxes full of them in no time at all and casting around for other things to keep you sitting in the chair of an evening.

Good morning one and all. Hope the wild winds have not blown you all away.
shaz how are you? I hope things are OK?
mrs Moneypenny hope you enjoyed your day stitching. Such patience with cross stitching!

A hug for all is being added to this post

A gentle day here. No plans . We have had some stonework done in our garden here and the Spanish man has yoked us that the addition of a coating of Olive oil to the stones makes them look even better. I keep looking at it and wondering if it's worth it. Would rather be cooking with it.

Well Dd1 has flown to Barcelona to join Dd2 for the weekend. The youngest is treating her sister for a birthday treat. Such a lovely thing as the elder has done so much for the younger over the years. She is supposed to be going on a hot air balloon ride today which is a total surprise. She will be so excited about it.

DDIL's parents are visiting the rest of our family in Dubai so I woke up full of happy thoughts this morning. William will love having his other grandparents there. What a treat.

I am making another blanket for the Cancer Charity here. They were so aprreciative. All in shades of gentle blues.

Of course I shall gave plenty of hooky time with the Winter Olympics on. The satellite change has meant we have lost all the BBC channels and the new arrangement with a smart box does not give such a good picture which is a shame but there we go.

f1,Ginny,pssothinking of you all as you deal with the ups and downs of health issues.
    Kathyhope that cold has eased.

Chalky - the Astra satellite on which you have until now been getting the BBC channels is being moved and the fine-tuning of it will apparently be completed by 12th Feb, so people are being advised not to buy new boxes until they find out if they get the signal back. Hopefully, you will only have to wait until the 12th then be back to normal!

Hello all, was nice and sunny here earlier but clouded over and windy here now.

Washing out on the line for a while as tumblie has died on me, broken belt so will have to go online and order a replacement. WHY can`t you get these things locally?
Such a pain having to wait for things to be delivered, used to be able to find the broken bit and go get another one, re-fit and machine working again the same day. Not now though, they just want to sell you a new one. Throwaway society.......

Anyway, crochet coming along fine now that dizziness has gone. Brain is already planning the next one even though this one is only half done. Hands can`t keep up with head, would need to be an octopus to get things done :rotfl:

Kit1 - have you started your hats yet ? How many have you done? Slavedriver....me ? Never!!

Jean - the machine will make short work of blankets, much faster than me. Hope you don`t have too much trouble with the weather. Is your greenhouse still standing in one piece ?

Chalky - hope the Sporty one isn`t missing too much with the telly disruptions. Loved the way you sorted your 3 cornered square, I wouldn`t have been brave enough to try it, I`d have ripped it all out or consigned it to the back of the cupboard.
Did the bag enjoy the shopping trip?

Mrs moneypenny - I used to enjoy cross stitch but I think I need new specs - or new eyes - as I find it too much of a challenge now. Still have one DD bought when little J was born - he`ll be four soon.

Oops, better go and feed DS, just been asked what`s for lunch. He`s investigating my car, as there was a nasty burning smell when I came home from a night out with DD1 & DD3 last night.
