Hi all. recieved 2 lovely parcels today from Chalky and Anakat to make up a parcel for Cambodia- am very grateful for their help. Annie is also going to an orphanage for babies and children with aids so Im guessing I will be sending more things in the future if she findas a British charity that ships things out. If I went I would never come back as I would have to stay and help.

Had a quiet day as planned and just pottered about, dont seem to have done much but I must have as I am yawning here.

Kathy I still have my fingers crossed for you, hope you get an offer soon as its difficult to type with them crossed :D

Mrs Mp beautiful! I am now tempted to stitch but its not on my list for this week.

Hi ladies just a quick update
Day 7 - still in hospital, hubby is really down yesterday and upset - Im sure its a reaction to anesthetic, etc but so hard to hear on the phone - his blood pressure was playing up again. But the Nurse phoned and said she was looking after him and told him that if being nice was making him sad she was going to start being mean!

I also had a little explanation as to the heart issue when he was rushed to cardiology and that upset me - I then got told by my FIL who phoned that I was "overwrought!"

They are now saying that they will review him Wednesday/Thursday - they have being saying "tomorrow" since Saturday so that is not helping him at all as he is now the longest serving patient on small ward everyone else seems to come in for 24 hours and then go - on the board his name still has a red dot which apparently means "unfit" whereas everyone else's has dates on it - I told him to stop looking;)

Im feeling it bad today but will get on with cleaning (my favourite pastime when a agitated although them bones don't like it ha ha) Still cant remember the last time I picked the needles up I will try today my mojo is definitely somewhere else. I did however notice a small decrease in waistline which is fantastic perhaps I should look on a few more days apart as even better way to shift that few extra pounds :D

Sorry Im not much support will get back with you as soon as I can - !!!! to you all xxxx

F1, of course you were over wrought, bloomin heck I would have been too - I was over wrought just thinking about you both. I just hope you get him home soon where you can look after him yourself. Love and hugs ginny.

My Oh is not to good today, will be keeping a close eye on him, this entails sneaking up stairs and looking at him every hour or so while he snoozes, trying to get him to eat and drink and generally pretending he is ok :o Somewhere along the line I have to get to the chemist but dont want to leave him so may wait till tomorrow.

    hugs to all xxx

Hi everyone; I'm just about to do the update but thought I would post first.

F1 - you and your OH are in my thoughts. It seems that being naturally worried sick is now considered 'overwrought', is it? I can hardly believe that that was said about you to a member of your family, and think whoever said it should apologise. Obviously, they are in the wrong job.

Ginnyknit - I hope your OH has as good a day as possible. Is there someone who could go to the chemist for you? Also, I know some of them deliver (LLoyds is one, I think), so perhaps you could phone your nearest one?

Mrs Moneypenny - that stocking is gorgeous; I've never heard of that brand name so perhaps I should do some research then accompany Jean to the States for a shopping spree!

Chalky - hope the toe is toeing the line! Sorry, I couldn't resist it!

Anakat - I am just imagining the look on my DH's face if I dressed our loo like that!

Well, we have heard nothing back from any of the viewings but this being France it is early days yet, so I am not too worried and am still thinking positively while trying not to get too excited. We have the last of three building plots for sale here; the same chap bought the first two and built himself a bungalow on the first one, in which he now lives with his lovely family. He wants to build another bungalow on the second one in time, but he has a friend who is interested in the third and last one, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that he buys it. It would be great to sell both the house and the plot this year. Anyway, we shall see.

I have almost finished a second blanket but have run out of a particular colour of wool (which I can't buy again because it's from my stash and several years old) so I am having to amend the striping sequence, which meant unravelling several rows. I could have carried on but it was making me grumpy so I took the bull by the horns and ripped it back last night, and now I'm no longer grumpy about it!

Well, after the first frosty start for about a month, the sun has come out and is beaming. For some reason I have got loads done this morning, including a trip to the shops, so I shall treat myself to an afternoon of woolly stuff. DH is off work until tomorrow but, as he can never do nothing, he is putting a new concrete floor in a room that we haven't yet converted because we don't need it. Well, it keeps him occupied, I suppose.

I will go and do the update now.

    Here is the update:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhOgVamMPLdkdDREdE9nS2pPYTRlcFQ3Ujc5ekNKamc&usp=drive_web#gid=0

Jean, I have added another category - lap blankets; I've made one which is the size for throwing over your legs on the sofa, and I didn't know what else to put it under. It's not squares, just plain crochet until it reached a suitable size. Do you think that will be OK as a category? I'm making another one at the moment so will add that on the next update.

I have decided to do a wheelchair wrap next, from that lovely pattern that Pippa linked to.

Afternoon folks. Late on parade today but lucky to be here at all.!!

No, not the dicky ticker this time.

Sunday night I settled down to watch Call the midwife. Had a bit of a headache but thought nothing of it. Saw about the first ten minutes and everything started spinning round. Gave up trying to work out which telly to focus on and went to bed. Next morning looked at alarm clock and saw 3 of them, sat up and room was whirling round at a rate of knots, so promptly lay down again.Made it to the bathroom and was sick (sorry)

DD managed to get an appointment with the doctor and he thought at first it was gastroenteritis, but then thought it may be an inner ear virus affecting my balance as I didn`t have the gyppy tum part.

Had to lie down with eyes closed all day yesterday although the wee tablets he gave me have helped.Have to put them up between the top lip and gum and let them dissolve slowly. OK at first but yeugh they taste bl***y awful when they are almost gone. Humbugs have been at the ready to get rid of the taste.

Been a bit more human today, still a bit `swimmy` but yesterday I really looked like the walking dead. Wouldn`t have gven tuppence for surviving the night.

So pleased to hear your DH is on the mend F1.

The cardiac docs will get him sorted out. Tell him to start worrying when he`s been in there 5 weeks and no nearer the door. One of the women in my ward had been in that long when I came home and was still there last week when I met one of the other patients who got out the same day as me.

Jean and Mrs mp - don`t hold your breath girls, I have sooooo much to do here I won`t be free for a long time, unless you want to come and help me first ? Share and share alike.

Been here long enough now so will love you and leave you. Hugs to all who need them, plenty to go round. I have the proof.

Little J gave me a wall hanger for Christmas which states

psso i do hope you are feeling better soon take good care of yourself, what you had sounds very similar to a couple of people ive heard recently a neighbour and someone who works with DH both had viral vertigo. neighbour got admitted to hospital and had ABs to get it going. drs said to her its after effects can linger anything from a few days to a few months so please take care.
if you were closer id pop in and help
