Sorry, Jean; here's a link to the recipe http://www.parade.com/27619/delishfamilyslowcooker/slow-cooker-self-saucing-chocolate-pudding/ It was delicious and the recipe was enough for eight servings. Lovely with bourbon vanilla ice-cream from Lidl's.

Chalky - have a lovely time with DD2!

Thanks for the link, Mrs Moneypenny; they look lovely and cosy.

I have started the wheelchair wrap and am really pleased with how it's going so will get this one done then make one for my Mum; she's not in a wheelchair but feels the cold and she would make good use of one.

Hugs to all those in need.

Hello ladies sorry I have not been back in to see you all
psso - so sorry to hear you have been poorly again, hope the dizzyies are starting to disappear xxx

chalky - sending hugs, hope you enjoy a bit of R&R in spain it must hurt so much missing W - hope the toe is feeling better, and the quilt is coming along = thinking of you xxx

mrs m - printed off the slipper pattern as I feel a boost in the knitting department would be a real help at the moment xx

Just to update you, hubby now home :T:T:T:j:j:j
The first cuddle was the sweetest most needed cuddle I think we have ever had and did us both the world of good. He is very weak, eye not open yet and on shed loads of medication but he is home and improving every day so that's the main thing. First day yesterday home ok but a bit down today he does not like sitting/laying around and prefers to have something to do all the time, always tinkering. The main thing is he is getting better and is home. Those thoughts and all the prayers have truly worked = thank you so much ladies - its sounds a bit soft but even though I had not been on I knew that somewhere you were thinking of us and it DID keep me going xxxxxxxx

Anyway we have had a terrific storm today (perhaps that's why my head is banging!) with hailstones that made the place look as though it had snowed and it is bitter out (I don't feel so warm inside either)
am off for a hot bath, pyjamas and at long last try and get those needles clicking

Special love and hugs to you all xxxx

PS any knitting mojo ideas would be much appreciated!

Thats such good news F1, have been thinking about you all week. I know how hard it is when Oh is in Hospital but to not be able to get there would be torture for us both. You can look after him now and he will soon pick up.

Have a very fragile OH, his mental health has been very low this last week and its a struggle to get him to eat. Dgs brightened him up this weekend and has been a shining star. Bought little man a sort of pop up tent thing for in the house and he has been sat in it wrapped in a blanket with a pillow looking at the photo albums. He actually slept till 8 am this morning :j Took him home at 10 and he sang twinkle twinkle little star all the way there. For a boy who has only found his voice last summer he is doing fantastic. He had a windy tummy yesterday and giggled when he broke wind and said it was uncle Gareth :D

I am freezing so off for a shower, bit of de-cluttering then wrap up in a throw and sew up a rabbit. Hugs to all xxx

Very cold again we've had wind, rain and sun today

f1 - Brilliant news so pleased for you both that OH is back where he should be with your arms acuddling and mending him xx :A
ginny - Sorry to hear your OH is still not eating very well I hope you can manage to find something to tempt him with... We bought our 2 DGD's a small indoor tent a few years ago it's a bit small for them now, but DGS gets good use out of it with his blanket and his dog cushion :)
chalky - Your William stories are wonderful great idea using photos of places he will recognise, love the monster quilt its looking good, has he seen it yet? or is it a secret;)
mrs-m - thanks for the slipper link another for my to-do list
kathy - so pleased you are enjoying making the wheelchair wrap, Mom has had hers for a few years now and loves it because it sits on her shoulders and doesn't slip off.

Started sorting out the little granny squares that I found in my UFO bag...there are 53...3" squares, in 4 colours not quite enough for a blanket, have to get my thinking cap on !!! but I am soooo glad I sorted the ends as I went along :)

Keep warm everyone, love to all Ax

    evening all .............

ginny my heart goes out to you and OH, poor man not eating and having low mental health too - pleased to hear GS cheered him up - children are wonderful like that - sending lots of hugs and hope his mood lifts in the coming days - hope you are looking after yourself too xxx

pippa - 53 granny squares well done! I would never have got that far and even if I did I would then look and think hmmmm got to sew together now ;) - Ive got on the to do list shoulder wrap made from squares but just cant face the sewing up xx

OH continuing to be ok - low mood though which is totally to be expected. Been able to cut some string today - he made his own drinks! Im a terrible Nurse I do everything for him :rotfl:

Im hoping to get a visit from my woolly friend Ive really missed her - have not seen her for about 3-4 weeks as she has had to be in quarantine as her husband got food poisoning a very nasty variety and they advised not being around people - poor couple they had to delay seeing their new first grandchild I felt so sorry for them and there she was worrying she had been no help to me - all I wanted to hear was that she had seen that baby and had a cuddle that meant the world to me

Anyway am off to see what the knitting bag has for me tonight
Love and hugs to all hope you are all ok xxxx
