Hi everyone
Elaine - what a gorgeous little boy; you must be very proud of him. So sorry I missed your birthday and hope it was a happy one. I hope you are feeling better now. As for the crochet wrap, pattern, what sort of problem did you have with it? I struggle with some patterns but found that one easy so I hope you persevere with it because it's very rewarding. I'm on my second one now.
F1 - hope your DH is doing well.
Ginnyknit - hope your OH is feeling better.
Jean - slow down; you'll meet yourself coming back at this rate!
Nothing much to report from this corner of the world. The weather is a mixture of rain and weak occasional sunshine; I shall be so glad when spring starts to make an appearance, although things are budding here; the hazelnut tree at the front of the house is full of catkins, so there are signs. The violas that self-seeded from pots a couple of years ago are also showing their faces, in the most unlikely places, too.
As I said, I am halfway through my second wrap. In my stash I have some very fine wool which I think I may make a lightweight blanket with once I have finished the wrap. It's wool I've had for years and, as I am trying to get my stash used up (to justify a HUUUUGE spend-up at the wool shop the next time I am in the UK) I am now thinking up ways to use up all the stuff that is not DK or 4-ply. A challenge but a good one, I think!
Anyway, I hope you all have a great day.

Dark, dull and dreich is the only way to describe today, so perfect for switching on the lights, audiobook and picking up the woolly stuff.:D
Yes folks, it was a big number birthday on Wednesday
Told little man the pressie was too pretty to open up and dismantle. He reckons the sweeties will go mouldy if I don`t open it and eat them...........he`s probably looking to share them I suppose.
The chap who makes them is a chef in his normal job and does these lovely gifts as a sideline. DD just told him which chocolate /toffees I like and that I love a nice soak in the bath. He got all the bits and pieces and put it all together. Her friend got a lovely one for her 21st so that`s where she got the idea.
Having a ripping out time here again. Decided I wouldn`t have enough wool for the blanket I`d started so rethinking that one.
Had another look through the stash and came upon a whole pack of white -10 x 100g balls - I was given by a work colleague, so might go back to grannys in white, pink and lilac instead of all pink.
Hope all are as well as can be and staying nice and warm. Feel so sorry for the folks who are still flooded and with more rain to come. Must be heartbreaking.
ps Roamin - my livingroom needs decorating. When can you fit me in ?Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

Hows the dizziness now? Hope its a bit less swimmy for you xx
F1 hope the patient isnt driving you too mad, as all men do when they are even a tiny bit better
I get my spare room back today as Ds is finally moving his furniture into his new apartment, they had the landladies stuff there at first but have convinced her I will hunt her down if she doesnt make room for their own stuff:eek: So its going to have OH's train set up in it and storage for my crafty stuff so finally I will have a tidy bedroom and lounge. Am going to keep my cardmaking bits down here for easy access.
Kathy you could always do 2 or more strands of you fine yarn so you project will grow a bit faster. Truly a labour of love with fine yarn.
I bet a pound to a penny Chalky is having better weather than us, its miserable here. Well had best go and get my bottom inot gear - so much to do xxxClearing the junk to travel light
