Oh jacqui I am so,so sorry to read of this. You poor thing. There are no words to help but please know that each and every one of us will be sending the most loving thoughts and prayers to you, your Doh and son. What a complete nightmare and made so much worse by such terrible treatment from the hospital. It really does beggar belief.
I hope today finds things improving and every time you feel waves if panic please visualise us all giving you the gentles hug.
Lots of love LindaTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi all, can you see my halo shining ?:)
I`ve had a really busy day, cooking, tidying bedroom, decluttering, washing clothes and dishes, so that I can sit down and relax all day tomorrow.
I plugged in my audiobook and then went off and made some lentil and bacon soup. While that was simmering I loaded the washing machine and washed the dishes in the sink from yesterday then decided to make that good old Scottish sweetie - tablet. Jean stop that drooling and dribbling - your share was absaloootley deeelishus.:D
Next came the bedroom of doom. Emptied the carp from the top drawer of the chest and neatly put away the jimjams, nighties etc which had been lying on the bed. All ready for the next hopsical visit.
Lots of books put in boxes for sending to charity shop or freecycling.
Tidied the built in cupboard a bit. At least I can open the door without loads of stuff falling on top of my head now.
That task was interrupted by DD2 paying a visit, her washing machine broke down a week ago so she was up with a couple of loads to do. She`d ordered a new one but the machine the guys came with was a bloomin tumble dryer !!
Anyway, while chatting over a cuppa she mentioned that they`d had a problem a couple of weeks ago at work. She works in the local sick kids hospital and they`d needed a wee hat for a poorly baby and they only had one blue one which only just fitted him.
Right, off I went to get the box I`m filling with stuff. So she`s away with about a dozen hats of various sizes and a couple of blankets as well :T Decluttering indeed, she went away with a carrier bag of books as well and a bag of tablet too to share with my grandchildren.
She also mentioned that they only have one shawl in the cupboard which apparently was meant for wrapping littlies who don`t survive surgery, but the nurses usually just wrap them in a hospital blanket. Soooo I`ve offered to do some blankets specifically for that purpose, with the proviso that the bereaved parents are allowed to take the blanket home with them. Something to take my mind off my own problems.
Right now I can smell bacon and egg pie -without the pastry crust- cooking in the oven. Mmmmmm. Off to check if it`s ready.
Evening with the knitting planned, or maybe I`ll tackle the crochet again.
F1, hope you`ve had some good news of your DH.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.
