    Hi everyone

Pippa - that wrap is gorgeous; in lovely colours, too. Like Jean, I would love the pattern, please. Well done on posting the photo, too. I really need to update my Flickr pics.

Shaz - so sorry about the guinea pig. No matter how large or small a pet is, their loss is keenly felt.

Well, it's been the most beautiful day here so far. DH is working all week so I have been pottering about cleaning windows, clearing all the bits of paper that were magnetted to the fridge and making sense of them, taking updated photos of the house for the next advert ..... which may not be needed, as it happens. The young couple who looked at it just before Christmas are coming back for a second viewing on Friday afternoon, so you never know!

Ginnyknit - enjoy putting your feet up; I'm just about to do the same!

By the way, I came across this yesterday: http://www.27bslash6.com/brochure.html

It's absolutely nothing to do with knitting, crocheting, or sewing but, if you have plenty of time and are in need of cheering up, the articles are guaranteed to lift the spirits.

It's in US terms but easy to change to UK terms as it's mainly just the one stitch...dc to tr and there you go.
I used DK yarn and a size 4mm hook and did a few extra rows, have fun

    Love to all Anne x

Oooo lots of lovely snuggly cosy things.
Well done with the socks Jean, have you got the production line going yet ?

Wrap looks smashing Pippa. Not sure if my crochet skills are up to that tho`. Might have a go and hope it doesn`t land over t`other side of the living room.

Shaz, sorry you`ve lost a friend ((hug))

Kathy, fingers crossed for the viewing. Now, have you got the fresh flowers in the pretty vases, the proper fresh coffee brewing, the posh mags on the coffee table, cake baking in the oven...........well you have to get the message across that YOURS is the des res they are looking for don`t you ??

Small parcel left here yesterday so hopefully will reach its destination soon. ;)

Box full, but keep finding bits to try and squeeeeeeeze in. Won`t be using post office for that one  would cost megabucks to post. Unless someone can give me the winning lottery numbers ?

Little J is being a bloomin pest right now (love him dearly but he keeps switching the light off and I can`t type in the dark :rotfl:) so I`m going to escape to my bedroom with my audiobook and crochet.

    See you soon.

My mum looks after Lola, and she turns the tv off (its cbbies mum puts on for her) but she hasnt got the strength to push it back on so she then she turns round and gives the cheekiest grin and shouts "on! put on!" keeps mum busy LOL

want to knit and sew today but looking round i NEED to tidy! and ive promised a frined ill see if i can print some leaflets off for her (well when i say i read that as ill see if i can get DS2 to do it once hes back from school. hes head of IT techy dept around here.

    Hi everyone

Thank you so much for the good wishes for the viewing on Friday; we have another one now, for Saturday morning, so it looks as if the market here is starting to pick up again.

Elaine -yes, I know all the tricks of the trade but the French are a different breed. We have things here that they don't like - believe it or not, stairs are a problem. It seems, according to my French neighbour, that the French don't like them. My neighbours themselves, in their late thirties, live in a bungalow that they say they bought because they don't want to have to deal with stairs in their seventies! My Mum, almost eighty-four, still sees the stairs as 'exercise', as I do! If we had known before we started renovating the house, we would have gone sideways not upwards! Anyway, we are keeping everything crossed, as you can imagine. Hugs to Little J; he sounds delightfully cheeky!

I finished my blanket in man's colours, and I can already see DH eyeing it up; he has never understood why men's dressing gowns come down to the knees and ladies' are full length. It might not be the dressing gown in his case, though; he's 6'4" tall so it might be his long legs, which he complains get cold in the evenings after a shower! Anyway, I still have to block it, then I will take a photo and one day this week will try and update my Flickr account.

I have started another blanket having looked on Pinterest for inspiration. I have found doing the last one, which was all trebles in stripes, was very soothing. Sometimes repetitive stuff is good for the soul, I think.

Pippa - thanks for the link. I think it will be a great way to use up my stash, which I am trying to do to justify a big spend up on our next trip back home.

Mrs Moneypenny - hugs to Little Lola; she sounds as cheeky as Little J!

Chalky - how's the toe? I expect it's been a bit colourful, but I hope it's not been painful.

Jean - hope you are taking time off now and again!

Well, I am off to tidy up my wardrobe. The last time the couple who are coming for a second viewing were here, I heard them open the wardrobe door; I was mortified when I realised what a mess it was. The clothes on the rail are tidy, it's all the boxes of wool and fabric at the bottom that look a sight.

Have a great day, all of you.

Socky so sorry for your loss. We rescued guineas and rabbits for many years but only have one little rabbit now called Baby and he is getting very old, I know I will really miss him. I dont even have a cat now, first time in my life i havent had a cat or dog but really have too much to think about without having one or the other.

Psso, Little J is a monkey isnt he :D When Dgs goes home on a Sunday he always turns the tv off, which is cute but lights would drive me daft.

Just taken Oh to have the offending teeth out and he was a bit wobbly but tucked up in bed now so am looking for something to do, not that I have any WIPs :o Had a lovely quiet day yesterday and realised I am not looking afetr myself so have to do better or I will be ill again. Just made myself a nice lunch and am going to put my feet up again.

thank you all for your kind thoughts xxx
