How lovely to find my hearts have been of use. Everystitch was done with love from me to you and yours.

Ive had a bad few days and that has cheered me up a lot. Hubby had a terrible toothache the night before last and woke up yesterday with a huge swelling on his face. I begged for a dentist appointment and got one at 12 yesterday. They gave him high dose antibiotica but his face continued to swell, luckily just before I rang an ambulance it started to go down, His immune system is pathetic so any small thing becomes dangerous. Anyway he has been a lot better today and though he is obviously full of poison he has managed to eat some soup yesterday and fish pie today. He has had little appetite for a couple of months but this made it worse. I think I may have to get him on ovaltine or something.

Anyway crisis over so I can get my head into gear and do things now. hugs to all xxx

Jean, good luck with securing a new internet package! As with everything else here, I am sure it won't be easy! Can't wait to see photos of the socks, whatever size (or sizes) they are.

It's been cool and dull here today, so I finished sorting out my wool stash, which is looking amazingly organised for now, and I also sorted out my fabrics so, when Edna disappears (she's been hanging around a bit lately), I will see what I can make. I fancy making a fabric cushion cover for my Mum for Mothering Sunday, and embellishing it with crochet - at least that's the plan!

Hope you all had a good day.

    Hi everyone

Ginnyknit - your hearts have been spreading love to all who deserve it. I hope your OH's toothache has gone now, poor thing, as if he doesn't have enough to worry about.

Mrs Moneypenny - hope your DH had a great birthday!

Elaine - hope you are doing well and feeling a lot better.

Chalky - how is the toe?

Jean - did you sort the internet out? Mine has been a bit of a nuisance over the last few weeks, but for the last couple of days, touch wood, it seems to have settled down.

I'm still working on a blanket in 'man' colours and will need to think of a non-girly edging to do for it. DH is working today so I will treat myself to a full afternoon of woolly stuff. I am making cakes this morning, and I had planned to take a whole new load of photos to advertise the house but it is really foggy outside and the light is so dull at the moment. It will be better to wait for the sun to come out (whenever that is) I think.

Anyway, I have a tea loaf and a flapjack in the oven and I think the beeper is about to go.

Have a great day, all of you. I hope the sun is shining somewhere!

Ginny I hope your husband's toothache is better soon.

I haven't done much knitting the past few days as I've had a chest infection and now DH has a bad back. He went to the doctors yesterday and was given painkillers and told to keep moving -easier said than done when he's in pain. He's spent most of the past two days watching old war films and sci-fi on the TV. I can't stand them so end up reading in another room. Now the painkillers are making him constipated. He has just forced down the first prune he has eaten since leaving boarding school and I'm looking for high fibre recipes!

    Hello all
what a week - hubby and DS have been poorly so either both or one of them have been in bed! Ive had a bit of cold nothing major though (lets face it Im a woman:D)

Now hubby has just left to work abroad for a week  we worked out that in nearly 19 years we have been apart for a few nights three times - twice while I was in hospital and once when he worked in Finland for a few days (and also overnight while he was on shift) so I am a blubbering wreck good job DS hotfooted off to play football - how useless am I !

Anyway plan of action is to sort theeeeeeee spare room/craft room out and lots of knitting to keep me occupied - I have a to do list of new knitting projects as long as a ball of wool ....

chalky - hope the toe is better, the quilt is turning out super the bright colours and the designs are just perfect, think I might like a monster quilt :rotfl: xx hope OH feels better too xx

psso - hope you are just relaxing and not doing too much and that family are looking after you and lots of kisses and hugs from J xxx

ginny - hoping OH feels a bit better now that the antibiotics may have kicked in, poor man I feel so bad for him and for you too xxx

roamin - how is the sock fetish coming along any more pics to show us yet? xxx

mrs m - what a lovely idea for the blanket, roamin and ginny were very kind to do those things for you xxx hope DS had a lovely birthday xxx

anakat - that's a good idea from Hobbycraft - our nearest one is about 15-20 miles away and its not somewhere I can send DOH :D he's not keen on that shop ! funnily enough they don't sell car parts! he did used to make models but hasn't for ages xx

mioliere - hope you are well xxx

thirzah - hope you and hubby are feeling better and that the prunes did the job! trouble is with tablets most of the time they cure one thing and you end up with coping with another as a consequence Im sure that's why I have to take so many one just cures the problems caused by the other (iykwim!) xx

and hugs to all our MIAs hope you are doing ok and we miss you xxx

Well my first SIBOL blanket is started Im still unconfident on how its going to turn out once Ive made a hash up of sewing it together - ooo nearly forgot have you seen Mrs Twins/SIBOL has talked about making shoulder wraps Ive opened my mouth on LH and said "ooo I could do one of those" and thinking of that before finishing the blanket .................. butterfly mind again always flitting from one thing to another. I managed to finish a blanket for a friends first grandchild but cant put a picture up incase she sees it before Ive given it to her for the new parents don't want to spoil the surprise and being a bit big-headed Im quite pleased with it - will show you soon

Im off for a cuppa love to all xxx

PS forgot to say I think Im going to do my update once per month, I hope that's not too much hassle for you mioliere or roamin? if it is just say and I will go back to doing them weekly xx
