    morning all

i have to agree with roaming on the fish and chip jumpers, ive read in a few places that they have more of that style than they can cope with at the mo. do you ever go onto loving hands website shropshire lass they have quite a few ideas of what is needed where, or you could contact your local hospital to see if they are short of anything then youd save on postage and stay local.

ginny fayre sounds lovely and it really did sound a nice night out such a shame not more people turned up.

i finally restarted my christmas jumper last night ive bought a deep red colour for the sleeves to contrast with the navy body (that i ran out of) i got half a sleeve done so getting there.

    hope all are well

weather is threatening to turn cold again soon so stay warm and cosy all
    roaming get those socks on!!

Morning all it's bitter cold here today brrr

We have DGS coming to stay from tomorrow until Friday, he is going to help put the decorations up, I have promised him he can go up in the loft, its all boarded so no misshaps like little feet sticking through the ceiling ;)
We have so much stuff up there, old wooden chairs, including a rocking chair, a couple of tables, boxes of things I used to collect all sorts I really must [STRIKE]find[/STRIKE] make time to have a clear out one of these days :o

Very useful address the Seafarers, I've sent 6 parcels now, good for stash busting and nice warm hats and scarves for the sailors from overseas

mrs-moneypenny - such a shame after all the hard work but so pleased the snowpeeps did well :)
jean - oooo clever you I'm impressed they look lovely and cosy, I've tried and tried to make socks but can't seem to get my head round them...but one day I will crack it ;) I got as far as sorting the recipe for Twinks but darent start them yet or we will eat the lot ....

Shropshirelass - GREAT NEWS just what you need at this time of year something good. My OH had some good news a few weeks ago, his next appointment with the oncologist is next MAY :jwe were so relieved and pleased, so I know just how you feel xx
shaz - hope all is well in your neck of the woods, it will be a lovely christmas for you all with a little one

Started a jumper for DGS last night, I'm using James C Brett marble chunky in browns/blues and a greeny shade its knitting up lovely, the pattern is one I did for his Daddy when he was about the same, but it will have to be hidden away when he comes tomorrow

Just a quick call in to tell you all I`m sooooooooo happy this morning.

My son passed his driving test this morning -yippee :j

He started lessons years ago and was ready for his test but never passed the theory part until April this year and had the test this morning. At long last `Mum`s taxi `is a step nearer to being redundant.

DD has her theory test next monday so big brother is telling her to get stuck in and not be like him, wasting time.

Off for a cuppa to celebrate.:T

Blimey go missing again for a few days and loads happen if I miss anything just say she cant help it she's on medication:D

roamin - love the socks well done would have liked to see a bit of knee :rotfl::rotfl:xx

Shropshire lass - what great news it must be such a relief xx

mrs m - what a shame you didn't do so good and as others have said after all that work xx

ginnyknit - such a shame for you to especially after you were so nervous about going and the work you have put in - glad you had some fun time though xx also sorry to hear about the childrens work so tough for them Im sure xx

If its any consolation my sister has started doing some fairs and they really are changeable the first couple were not good and made her feel down then she did another and had virtually a sell out then the next day got more bits done overnight and did hardly anything - the good thing is my sister is getting out and about is she is meeting different people and getting a rest from the men in the household :D the big but is that she has had to turn down some stalls as the fees are so high which I don't think is fair in todays recession where people are either making a bit of extra for themselves or doing it for charity.

chalky - sorry I have not been in touch but hope you are ok after returning have had a quick look on the blog and the photos are just lovely so glad you had a good time and in no time at all little W will be wanting a story again at Christmas xxx

Kathy - hope you are ok - was thinking myself about the houseviewing and your mum when I logged on? xx

psso - whoop whoop well done Psso's son xx

well here Im trying to put an "umbrella" up to dodge the black cloud that likes to float around at this time of year oh nearly forgot

I WENT TO THE SHOPS TWICE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! once with my "Dr M" and once with hubby - only to two shops but its a start - now to many the thought of a shop being overwhelming must be strange but I was completely overwhelmed went in our local "cheapy shop" and the charity shop and was in heaven - maybe that's why the black cloud is here - therapy has been hard going the last month or so - plus the some of the family are grinding a little say no more!
Baby steps but hey twice in one week is positively glove trotting for me!!!

Anyway love to all and a few hugs too - am feeling a bit grotty tonight I fear that DS has kindly given me his cold thing he has had this week lovely sharing boy that he is - bless him he was mortified as he has broken his 100% attendance

F1 am so happy for you, going out twice is amazing, now breathe and start again. Did I thank you for the wonderous box of goodies? I did mention it on the thread but you may have missed it. Now the fair is done I am going to sit and craft myself silly.

Have felt very wobbly today but left Oh with Ds and his wife and went to the market. Came home and rested as it was a little too much for me. Anyway after a nice big salad and a hot bath Im more like my old self.

Congrats to Psso's son, I do admire anyone who passes the new test. It opens up a whole new world.
