Had a lovely afternoon with DGs, very chatty and we now have conversations of a sort. He also has a brilliant sense of humour and teases me unmervifully. Has a lousy cold though and needed medicinal hugs. Now he is fast asleep and Grandad is in bed too, as he is not too good. We went for bloodtests yesterday to see how the cancer is so now need to wait till the 12th for the results.

Ds rang me on his way here and has now gone to do my shopping at Tesco's for me bless him.

Pippa, I am so pleased for you, what a lovely Christmas gift having the family there.

Im just finishing Ds's blanket done like Anakats with the right angled squares as I call them, it is going to look good. I gave DGs his teddy angel today and he hugged it and rubbed the soft fleece arms on his face, I was so happy that I had to wipe my eyes :D

I have got past my 100 total for all charity hats........ yipppeeeee - will now be attempting socks on the knitting machines - this should be good - don't expect to have a proper pair till at least JULY 2014!!!!

FURTHER UPDATE - machine sock number one......well it ended up with a hole just under the ribbing - so that got frogged
    - machine sock number two - I didn't do the leavers and buttons correctly - so it bounced off the needles just as I was coming around the heal
    - machine sock number three - really thought I was going to achieve with that one but I failed on the transition from rib to knit........ so it got frogged as well

I have stopped for the night - will start again in the morning after a coffee when I am fresh again to it all

love hugs and positive vibes to all who need/want them
you really are the kindest and most caring group of people i know (and thats without even meeting you!)

Roaming i hope with a sleep under your belt the socks are more successful today
thank you for the seafarers addy i will add that to my list of places to knit for - ive done them in the past but sent via LH to the apostle ships

ginny so glad everything is happy in your world and hope it all continues that way

pippa sounds like you will be having a wonderful christmas with your guests, im so pleased for you

kathy i hope your family is well particularly your dear mum and your sister - they are often in my thoughts

F1, thank you so much for the beautiful knitted prem hats you kindly sent me, i will take them into the local hospital next time i pass. it is the hospital i had all 5 of mine at i was lucky that i didnt need the special care dept but it is reassuring to know it is there so its lovely to be able to help it with items and they are always so thankful when i go in. I must remember to ask for the patterns for the little squares etc that she mentioned to me.

right on to saturday and thank you all for the good wishes and selling vibes
this is all the stuff i packed and took with me

    th_IMG_0640_zps247ffd04.jpg
lots of people attended the fayre so i cant say it was lack of footfall but all i sold was 1 lily flower brooch, 1 of the beautiful decorations decorations Ginny made (i hadnt actually taken that to sell it was more for display), 1 cross stitch keyring and thankfully 30 snowpeeps, i think i could kiss you 2 for those otherwise i just may have cried.
DD2 DD3 walked round and said my stuff was priced slightly cheaper than others and stall looked just as nice so no-one could understand where it went wrong. i must admit i did leave feeling rather deflated but i got home to a miss parcel card which DH nipped and collected for me roaming thank you it was your beautiful blanket it is even more gorgeous in reality than in the photo, i think i will ask my brother and his partner what they would like to do with it if that is ok, i know they have the website set up and she mentioned doing some fundraising so with you permission she might raffle it or something. I know it has healing properties because see it and having a hug of it certainly made me feel better.

i hope everyone has a lovely day
