Oh Mrs MP the things look beautiful, Im so sorry you didnt do as well as hoped
Thank goodness for the jet set snow peeps, it was so nice to do a bit across the miles.
I have my fair tonight and Im very nervous, sat here worrying.
Things are going wrong here for my children and Im fed up. Morrisons are being awful to DD, she is still working lates meaning I have to rescue Dgs 2 nights as his daddys new job means he cant be home in time. All she wants is to be with her little man. DS's company is going through hard times which is unbelievable for a debt managment company and lots of staff are leaving. He has been demoted but is still doing the same job, apparently they cant afford him! Well its keeping my mind off other stuff
Loving the socks Roamin. So pretty.
Hugs to all and hoping you are doing ok xxxxClearing the junk to travel light

Good luck with the fair, Ginny-hope you sell everything.I'm sorry to hear about your children's problems at work.
I need to get to Hobbycraft or a decent woolshop to get wool for SILs scarf. Fortunately we won't be seeing them until the 29th so if necessary I can finish it over Christmas. In the meantime I'm knitting a stocking for GS. I still do a stocking for DD1-she's 32-and then realised that I ought to have something for GS to open while she's opening hers. The pattern uses some really expensive wool but I'm making do with Wilko's yarn. After all he's not going to wear it.0 -

Hello everyone, just got home from trip to Chester with DH, follow-up visit to Urologist, and GOOD NEWS, he doesn't have to go back til March, which will just be a check-up pre-big holiday. :TWe both feel very relieved, and can now concentrate on December preps.
I'm actually looking forward now, we will have visitors for a few days the week before Christmas, and I will have volunteering things to do at local NT property, but will have a quiet, peaceful Christmas day with just the two of us. We have decided on small presents between the two of us, he asked for a new wash leather for his car (is obsessive about polishing cars!) Then on Boxing Day, family including DGS8 and DGD11 will descend for 36 hours organised chaos. I have made DGD's slipperettes successfully as she requested, but wool ran out 3/4 of the way through DGS's second one. Aggggghhh!! Have finished it for local hospital shop, and started on another pair for him.
I will be going out to prune ivy strands this afternoon before weather gets too bad, to use as decorations at NTprop, going to deliver them tomorrow and help put them on window sills and mantels etc. Thursday we will be making flower arrangements for the formal rooms- I haven't done this before, and hoping to get some new skills
Saw an advert at Church for help for 'fish and chip' babies such a sad story, so think I will do some things for them over any grim weather we get at Christmas.
So lovely to hear everyone's news day by day Mrs Moneypenny, don't be down, homes will turn up for all your goodies. I've had the same sort of thing happen, it was disheartening.
Off to sort out hm soup for lunch, (don't tell, its made out of left overs from chicken casserole yesterday:rotfl:)0 -
Ginny, i hope your fayre goes well, everything crossed for you. sorry to here life is being rough on your family at the moment i hope things soon sort themselves out and you all get dealt a better hand.

PIPPA.s - you are so naughty reminding me of Twinks hob nobs - now I will be forced to make some!
Chalky - should keep well wrapped (greaseproof/foil-cake tin) My Grannie used to make then over a week in advance of the New Year - just incase anyone called to share a wee dram with her!
I have TWO SOCKS ladies - I am so over the moon with that you would not believe it, they are stitched up and ready for the rotten weather. This was one of the items on the MUST DO 2013..... and so very nearly didn't make it!
I now have to go and transfer all my notes into a proper pattern - it was a you tube video showing me how to do it - no pattern as such. I should also try and work out other sizes while I am at it or there might be a few long faces when the snow hits us.

GINNYKNIT - good luck for the fair tonight. (love the idea of Jet Set Snowpeeps!)... off to get that pattern typed up before I forget how to read the shorthand notes!

Love the socks! Very funky
Craft fair - excellent quality stalls, lovely stall holders. the cafe owner even put fairy lights up for us. The waiters put out folding tables for us and cleared the decks. Gorgeous soup from a cafe that do charity events £1 for a big cup full - yummy. Sadly very few people, I mean a handful  I took £10, the cost of the stall and that was one knitted doll and an owl decoration. My friend who had a card stall took £9. But I had a lovely time and it was nice to get out. Am very tired but not too sad. Off to make my hot water bottle and sleep for a few daysThen I will start a facebook selling page. The organiser was very upset as she put a lot of work in but I put her mind at rest and made a new friend too.

sending you all lurve and squishy cuddles....... found some more sock yarn - guess what I intend doing?????
Shropshirelass - what wonderful news for you - full steam ahead for Christmas now then. I have sent you a pm...............
Saw an advert at Church for help for 'fish and chip' babies such a sad story, I don't want to dishearten you but this very successful campaign has been running for quite a few years now and nearly every charity I know off have asked people to STOP making the fish and chip jumpers - they have all been inundated with them - warehouses full - sitting awaiting more babies to be born I really would be saddened if the church ladies did loads and then you couldn't find a home for them. I have linked the thread from LH below

There is a next size up easy knit sweater I can look out the link for that if it would help?
Ginnyknit - the venue was perfect - perhaps it needed further advertising to draw in the folks. As you say - made a new pal - which has to be great, get the f/b page sorted out and see the dosh rolling in.
