Hi Peeps
just a quick post I am supposed to be doing a swish and swipe all round before I finish the packing,
We are off with some friends for a week in (hopefully) the sunshine but even if its not sunny the break will be most welcome...
We have had a busy few days but it's been lovely DGS came to stay so keeping up with a little one has kept me on my toes, he is an absoloute delight (wish I had half his energy);)
He is very good about going to bed and I just love following his little green dinosaur onsie up the stairs to tuck him in and read a story, but best of all is hearing a little voice calling "LOVE YOU NAN" as he settles down to sleep...
well I better go get started again, I have a pair of jeans to shorten for OH they are ready to whizz round on the machine so it won't take long
hmmm wonder if I can sneak some wool and a hook in the case for those quiet moments between shower and Dinner...
See you in a week sending love to all. Axx0 -
have a really lovely week pippa, your little DGS sounds adorable.

Lovely jumper Mrs MP, I cant do patterns, you know, 2 colours  except the odd bit on a hat. Just sewing the binding on DGS's patchwork quilt, made an owl doorstop for a friend and decided to make Dd a throw the same as her brothers. That should keep me quiet for a while
Finaly got a bulb for my sewing machine, have been struggling with a bendy lamp behind it for months. I was wandering round Hobbycraft when I spotted the bulbs after wasting a few quid on ones that didnt fit. I spent a huge amount in there tonight- £7! Lost all my sewing up needles so got new ones, machine needles and 1, yes, 1 ball of wool. Am on a tight budget now and have to use up what I have - self imposed wool famine :rotfl: and Im bored already.
Pippa that sounds so sweet, little man in a dinosaur onsie. Isnt it just the best thing hearing them say Nanna or in my case grandma. Last saturday DGS didnt cry for his grandad to take him up to bed , he ran up and jumped in bed shouting Night night Grandy! He is growing up fast. However last night he had a rotten cold, didnt want his tea or a bath but asked for his Grandy so he went over just to give him cuddles before bed
Hope everyone is well and sending Edna packing.Clearing the junk to travel light

Loving the Christmas Jumper Mrs Moneypenny....... still haven't even started mine but hey I have plenty of time - NOT.
I did do a big shop yesterday - think the supermarket believed I had moved in for the duration........ took me two hours and that didn't include driving the ½ hour there or back - I wasn't going to be rushed at all as I have the pampervan at present - which really is lovely to drive -especially with no SAT NAG DH directing the operation.
I am attempting the near impossible - get all the baking done and NOT EATEN, put up the decs, dress the tree, clear up the whole house while there is only me and two dogs around - with NOT A SNOWBALLS HOPE of much of any of that lot getting done, so will plod along at my usual pace and probably end up in one mad rush the day before before the boys arrive for Christmas, so no change in my routine then.
Off for a swift breakfast and see how my day goes, ye all have a great day, lots of cuddles and love sent out from here

I have a defrosted organised freezer! Sainsburys order arrived and stashed - well mostly - forgot the mincemeat so no pies yet
then nipped in Tesco with vouchers and got a big chicken, 16 cans of diet coke and some bread for £1 :j
Got parcels to send to charities and cards I made to find envelopes for. New Years resolution - when I make cards put the envelopes with them right away
Ordered a few great gifts off fleabay last night now just DD's throw to make but I have till Christmas day to finish it. She has finally ordered curtains which were very cheap off fleabay but have those holes at the top for the pole (hence the price) so will have to sew them but now I have a bulb for my sewing machine at last it should be half an hours work to chop them and put tape on. Dd thought she was moving so hasnt really dressed the house up however they seem to be staying so the draughty windows will be a thing of the past by friday.
