  • I did mean to get in here this morning - but realised overnight I needed to spend the morning making the christmas pudding - or we wouldn't have one - steeped in brandy - so spend this morning doing just that, smells delicious - I have done two - just incase we get loads of visitors, alternatively we could just pig out!

Nice to see you shropshirelass keep popping in for a chat we are a friendly lot and like to see what everyone is up to craft-wise .... nosy us never ;)
chalky - awww the pics of William are gorgeous he looks a happy little chap x LOVE the starry sky pic it's beautiful
jean - great stockings someone is gonna love em, love the finishing touches on the hats :)
ginny - your OH is a star (just like mine) and it seems no matter how ill they are they have to do something xx Thanks for the scarflette pattern it will be on the needles tonight,
mrs-moneypenny - such a relief to find it was cysts isn't it.
kathy - ouch !!! hope it's feeling better now
psso - yeah they are my favourite's too there's something about the sea I just love it

Girls cardi's are both finished that chunky yarn I used from poundland is great to knit with and grew so quickly, it's lovely and soft too, thought I'd give it a go and if it didn't work out I'd use it for more sailors hat's

I started working on a slouch hat last night in dk on a circular needle and after using chunky it's slow going, but there''s no rush it's just an experiment.
But tonight it's going to be a scarflette it's gone so bloomin cold here so that will tuck nicely inside my coat

Love to all and keep warm Axx

Now Jean, just why did you feel the need to spend a morning making a pair of puddings when you have the 9 minutes, quick and easy micro version ? And don`t say it`s for the brandy bit. You can pour some brandy over the fruit a day or two before, and set light to the quicky version too.;)

Love the stockings and the final version of the red and white hat. You`ve been very busy indeed.

Chalky - Lovely pic of the little `arab laddie`. Keeps the sun off his head nicely.

Shropshirelass - told you you`d fit in here. SOME of us have loads of ufo`s - sorry WIP`s :D - on the go. Lots of butterfly brains here, so it`s nice to add another to the list.

Kathy - how is your arm now ? Naughty cat.

Mrs moneypenny - thank goodness it was ONLY cysts, phew.

Two thirds of the red scarflette done, brain already planning on doing some more in various stitch patterns. Have a ball of white as well, from a trip to hobbycraft a while ago, so that will be next I think. Also have some wine/greyish/pinkish sock type wool which jumped into my trollley in Lidl a while back and I don`t think socks is on my list of things to do...........so will double it up and see what happens next:rotfl:

    Back soon, hopefully.

DUMPLIN is a DIFFERENT kettle of fish entirely............ made regularly and eaten in vast quantities (love it fried) - this mornings effort (in between hats) was tattie scones - freezer has quite a few now, but we all know that they won't last. Next notion is Butteries - might have to wait till mid week - need to pay attention and go and do some of that C shopping stuff YUK!

Oh and while I remember how is the driving going?
