afternoon allJ
I loved the fabric Souk and bought 3 of the traditional red and white men's headscarves for about £10 in beautiful cotton. So, am I turning Arabian?. No! I am going to cut them up into cotton hearts for Christmas.

oh you could bring them home and sell them, my boys and their friends all seem to be wearing those at the moment. Ds2 keeps getting into trouble for stealing DS1s - ive had to put one on the chirstmas list for him to stop arguments.

ever since the school set up the house system and used local soldiers names the sales of poppies has rocketed this year they sold 4 boxes!
the students are very proud of 'their' soldiers and there is a corridor in the school with any information that has been found out about them. any that have surviving family members have been really touched by this and support the school (some have visited or sent mementos in for the students). its lovely that the soldiers are included in history and English lessons and it makes it seem more real and personal to the students. Those heroes will never be forgotten in our townSPC~12 ot 124

Pippa, a scarflette is a short scarf with a slit in so one end goes through the slit and it sits niftily round your neck, loads of patterns on ravelry but I have a simple one I can pop on here tomorrow. It takes 50gms of aran on number 8's and knits up in a jiffy.
I was upstairs this morning when I heard a brass band playing and congregation singing Abide with me - I wondered why there was a coach outside the house, they were having a Remembrance ceremony in the cemetary at the back of our house.
I have more snowpeeps, Thank you so much Jean xxx Will get on with them tomorrow.Clearing the junk to travel light
