    :hello:
I love how we all like different things, I really dislike chunky yarn and am happiest with lace or 4ply
I sort of used this pattern for the hat
    http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hinagiku-hat
but increased the number of sts after the rib 'cos it didn't slouch (but that may have been my tension)

I am probably the last person to find this site
    http://www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/
I was looking for some no wool sock yarn for a friend with itches :rotfl:
and their prices seem very reasonable

As they are going via http://www.postpals.co.uk/
I can finally add to my totals

    1 hat
    1 pair mittens

    regards to all

    HELP PLEASE

have designed and made this earflap hat for my great niece (age 11) a huge fan of One Direction I am now wondering about the finishing off - normally I would have spoken to my Dear Wee Sis on this but I so want to keep this a HUGE SECRET - I know she would blab so here we go......

    does it get

    1) one big pom pom on the top made in red and white
    2) one big pom pom on the top made in white
    3) one big pom pom on the top made in red

    as well as

red and or white ties - with or without pom poms on the bottom and again what colours for the pom poms.
Or I could have opposite colours on each of the pom poms on the ties 1 red with a white 1 on it the other white with a red D on it....now that would really be a trial for me!

I am struggling here ladies and I know you will come back and give me a bit of assistance in this vip (very important project)...... it can sit for a week while I go do other stuff on the machines

look forward to hearing from you all

Just had a quick peek in before shutting the puter down, DS kindly left it on in case I wanted to play.

Jean, I would go for a red pompom on top, red and white plait thingys and white pompoms on the ends. Or you could do all the pompoms red and white.
Or...............:D any combination you prefer. x

Off to beddybyes, another busy day ahead tomorrow.

    Just checking in!!!!!!!!
You lot make me laugh .Have just quickly caught up ŵith everyone's posts and had a right giggle.
We have not stopped .. In the best possible way so have missed you!

But today the Oh has taken DDIL off to try and get her visa. Very complicated and VERY long winded. What a shame that I am having a whole day to myself with the edible William.:T
So I have passed on all your cuddles and kisses. That was a hard task too.
Now he is having his nap so I gave two minutes!
Well, too much to tell you but will just say its wonderful. To be honest the best bit is just being with them but there are certainly some wonderful things to see. I think it's the type of place where you could spend an absolute fortune or manage in a more MSE way.
You can guess which way we are playing it!
We went to the creek last night. The old part of Dubai. I liked that. There were water taxis taking you from one side to the other for about 10p and 4 cold drinks were £1.50. But apparently the afternoon tea in the Burg Al Arab is £75 and when someone ( not us) tried to book it there are no spaces until the 17th Nov. There are Ferraris ,Lamborghinis and rich Arab men but NOT 1 ball of wool in sight!

I loved the fabric Souk and bought 3 of the traditional red and white men's headscarves for about £10 in beautiful cotton. So, am I turning Arabian?. No! I am going to cut them up into cotton hearts for Christmas.

Well I have read about a million books so far and played hide and seek in the same spot, under the duvet cover for hours! Bliss.

Lovely to catch up with all your news. Seems good at the moment with jobs, mums, grandchildren, holidays etc.

To close for today. I am so grateful of your solidarity in making sure I would not rot in a jail somewhere. But,I have stopped kissing in public, thrown away the tablets and of course not drunk a spot of alcohol since we arrived. So will try and continue with the good behaviour. The Oh laughed when I told him of your plans.

jean. i would go for contrast. Red at the top, white on the flaps for the Pom Pom bit and maybe red and white for the plaits x
Try and do a good deed every day.
