  • ah Elaine.......THE BROON MIXTURE......... in the village where I grew up Miss Shanks the chemist used to knock it up for us..... I also got given the very same stuff when I was in the WRNS. I have in my bathroom cabinet about half a bottle of the stuff recently purchased in the CO-OP on Jersey......... the self same stuff - works wonders-but I am guarding it like a hawk, at least till himself hits the UK in December and can get me some more.
The French stuff works but its watery and usually strawberry flavoured and I really don't like it at all. Its still relatively mild and sunny here but no doubt the rain and wind will be upon us before too long.

Ye all have a terrific day I have managed to tick off three things on my indoor list to do so far today - so I am on a winner.

    Love and cuddles

Kathy - hope there isn't too much disruption at yours while the work in progress continues.

the pompoms look good, OH makes fab pompoms but if I show him these he will love them and it will keep him quiet for hours :D

Had a busy day just finally got a decent coat. I have been managing with a chunky cardi for months but had to give in. Got a nice quilted zippy hoody coat from Evans and its just light enough to not make me faint with the heat when Im pushing the wheelchair :j

Am going to sit and craft for a few hours now as I think I deserve it after coping with moany Oh and stressed Dd.

If you pop on my Ginnyknit blog (the one under my avatar) you will see my little cotton rabbit which I absolutely adore - all the yarn was gifted to me by 2 of my dear friends - so kind xxx

Lots of gentle thoughts to Mia's

Well just grabbing a couple of quiet minutes as the edible William is in bed.
First have no fears of flying with hook and yarn. I set the alarms off as always but it was because there was metal in my boots!!! The hook went straight through. And I crocheted most of the way and no-one even raised an eyebrow!

Little did I realise that some medicines are banned here. And bringing them into the country can result in a month in jail!!!!!!!!! If I had known that and I was bringing a packet of co-coda mol I would have been having 1000000 fits when that called us aside and scanned our luggage as we came through customs!!!

Anyway, that was the first Chalky mistake. The second was giving my son and daughter in law a huge cuddle in public. Oh! And the third was taking a picture of a sweet display and there was an Arab woman behind the counter and apparently that is disrespectful. Shall I survive 3 weeks I ask myself or end up in the clink?

Well all that aside I can hardly type how wonderful it is to see them all. I have passed about a million kisses and cuddles on to William and included yours. He has grown so much and can say so much..... "No! " has also been added to the vocabulary !!!!!!

He was so thrilled with all the books we bought him and it's been like a bookfest every day. The complex where they live has a huge pool and grass areas with playgrounds so he is in his element.
Because he is fair the locals make such a fuss of him and take him off for ice creams and all sorts.
Try and do a good deed every day.
