Love the pic chalky. The night sky is beautiful.
My absolute favourite pictures /paintings are waves crashing over rocks but something like this one comes a very close second. Thanks for sharing.
Ginny - that pattern will be cast on this afternoon I think. Too cold, wild and windy to go outside so me and little J will cosy up inside and do something cuddly and snuggly. I do like Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.;) Sorry your DH is under the weather again. It`s difficult when they aren`t able to do the things which they used to do. Very frustrating (for them and us)
Mrs moneypenny - I hope you are taking time to breathe. So busy, busy, busy. Wonder what you will do when it`s all over ? You`ll have withdrawal symptoms.
Off to have some lunch as His Nibs is sooooo hungry (again) then hunt out the aran and needles.
Bye for now.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

Hello Shropshirelass and welcome.
Now don`t you be shy, pop in and post here anytime,we don`t bite.:D well not often.
Are you a knitter or crocheter or cross stitcher or.............?
Most of our regulars are multi taskers, doing a bit of this or a bit of that. Do join in, we like to have newcomers.
Didn`t get the scarflette started today, preemie hat was on the 8`s so had to finish it first. Maybe tomorrow night.
Work tomorrow but off the weekend :j so lots of knitty / hooky time.

Hi everyone.
Ginnyknit - hugs to your OH; although it exhausted him, I bet he felt good about putting up the shelves for you. Renovating is such hard work; we have renovated all the houses we have owned, and I long to move into a house that is all 'done'! I hope he feels better soon.
Mrs Moneypenny - what a relief about the cysts.
Shropshirelass - a warm welcome to you. We love newbies!
Hi, Mrs Twins - will check out your blog today!
Chalky - that's a lovely picture! Hope your holiday is going well; well, it must be because you are with William!
Jean - like you I have Christmas on my mind. Much as I would have loved to have gone back to the UK, we have the next best thing with DH's brother and his family coming up from the south of France to stay with us from 23rd to 27th December, so it will be quite a 'family' Christmas for a change, so I need to double up on mince pies and so on!
I haven't posted for a few days (or updated, which I will try and do later). I got savaged by one of the two cats that have adopted us. He had dozed off on my lap and I must have made him jump when I moved my arm, and he really sunk his teeth into me, the little b*****! I have six lovely puncture wounds on my left arm which is now very sore. I washed it with salt water and cleaned it up with iodine and, although it throbbed for a few days, it's starting to look and feel better and I think I have avoided infection. It's made typing painful which is a bit of a nuisance because I have had a couple of articles to do this week. I have barely done any woolly stuff apart from a crochet heart for my dear sister, Jane, who has a birthday coming up soon. I also have place mats cut out and ready for machining, so that's another job for when my arm is back to normal.
The dining room floor is fully floor-boarded now and makes such a difference to the warmth in the room because DH has gone mad with the insulation. It's a strangely shaped kitchen dining room, and there was an awkward sort of step between the two, which was a real challenge, but we now have a proper wooden step in place. It's been a lot of hard work and hassle but well worth it. I was dreading the upheaval and am so glad that it's all over!
Anyway, I will get the update done later on.
I hope you all have a lovely day.

hugs and good wishes to all who need/want them
really cold today but ive just been down the high school for a lovely breakfast with DH and DS2, once a year they invite the parents in for a free full english so we can have a nice breakfast and chat over it with our children - and we dont have to wash up.
supposed to dress as a hero (super or otherwise today) so im going work in Dh army trousers tshirt and boots, all soldiers are heros arent they so i think its appropriate. DH was never in the army we just seem to have acquired combat clothing over the years)
Back to DS2 school later as they have a book fayre so my purse will be required.
if you are doing anything for children in need i hope its successful.
hugs and warming wishes to allSPC~12 ot 124

f1hope all ok with you and the pots are helping with the extra costs at this time of year.
pssohave a lovely weekend crafting. You so deserve it.
Been swimming with the edible William and he has made a friend of a bigger girl who can swim. So he was jumping off the side to copy her and going right under the water. Brilliant. Unfortunately DS has a streaming cold so not on top form for his weekend off. But these things can not be helped.
Love to alll

I have just finished the last of the family hats and took an hour off yesterday to do a Christmas Stocking for my nephews partner - can have just one stocking hanging off the mantle now can we.
Lovely to see the Wonderful William - doing the fishing eh? Chalky I do hope you continue to have more and more cuddles for us all and steal the kisses anytime you can.
We like lurkers here Shropshirelass - just pop in anytime, if we can inspire anyone that's a bonus.
Cuddles and love from me to you all.............. will be back a bit later - am trying to do myself (YES ME!) a lacey type turquoise scarf (knitting machine really needs a proper clean first)- I have a notion for having it done for THAT SPECIAL DECEMBER DAY - will match my earings and braclet...... well that's the hope, so will go and get on with it.

Thanks to everyone for such a nice welcome.
I am a compulsive knitter, trying to get into crochet again after about 30 years, but have a big sweater to finish first, then a snowman (before Christmas), and would love one of those scarflettes as well before Spring, they look so cosy.
Also love doing free-style-ish embroidery, and have a table cloth waiting for me to start. And new cushion covers to finish on sewing machine before Christmas visitors arrive.
So you see I do need a lot of inspiration!
Hope all have a good weekend, looks like good knitting weather all over the land!
Edited to add have just read the explanatory post so will be planning something for my share.0
