  • mioliere - hope the viewing went well - I know you may have to wait an age on any proper feedback - so fingers crossed.

DH has just had his flu jag - - no doubt I will give him a cole within the next couple of days - he he........ I was asking the District nursie - why was it only the men get the jab - I have never been offered one - so she said you jut have to ask for it to get it, once you have had one you are on the books for every year - OH well that would be my lack of visits to the quack that rules me out then!
Got the very last of the shopping for C - that DH will deliver when over in December - so all I am left to get is DH and DS and they are most definitely internet purchases..... having been all the way up and down the high street in town today I found nothing that inspired .
The shops are full of what the French class as acceptable pressies - new coffee maker, oh what about a new vacuum, or some brand new
    crockery
Honestly if anyone even attempted to give me what I class as a household item for a Christmas present THEY WOULD BE WEARING IT AS THEY WERE CHUCKED OUT THE DOOR! Rant over - so tonight I will get the last of the stuff wrapped and sorted into various boxes MARKED UP for the right drop offs for him.
Bitter cold here but it isn't raining at this exact moment so that's a bonus. Perhaps CHALKY will bring us all some of that warm sunshine back next week - hint hint hint!

    Just a quickie for now.

    Household items for Christmas hehehe.

My dearly beloved gave me a deep fat fryer one year. I was NOT amused and couldn`t understand why the kids wanted me to open it up immediately for a closer inspection. When I did open it up, I found lovely earrings to match my engagement ring.:)

Finished the neckwarmer ginnyknit posted the pattern for but blow me I just could not get the slot right. The hole was too small to put the scarf through at first so tried pulling it out and redid it (the hole )on larger needles. Still didn`t work properly so eventually `tweaked` it, made a couple of buttonholes and sewed on two buttons. Job done. Next one is on the needles as I type, combination of moss stitch and stocking stitch.

Off to peel the spuds to go with the sausage casserole and yorkie puds.

well all I can say is that the last couple of weeks have been blurgghhhh - not sure whether you would say 'Edna has been visiting or not ????

like psso am starting my pre-Christmas/new year clear out - think ive left it a bit late though because the list is longer than the weeks we have left!:D Have also realised I have a long list of "makes" I "could" or "should" have done but yet again in my usual bumbling way Ive left it too late - Ive decided Im going to write a list of ideas that are cropping up now and start them next year - EARLY! I see so many wonderful ideas - roamin I blame you :rotfl:

Made a neckwarmer for my sister so that's one thing crossed off.:j

That is beautiful, anakat. How long did it take you to make?
I am useless at noting when I start things, but according to my CC statements I ordered the yarn on the 2nd of May and the date on the finished picture is 30th Aug. so 4 months. I know we had a hot spell when I was putting it together and it was all over my lap :rotfl:

Roamin, nearly finished my snow peeps, I only sent 37 ( thought it was 40 lol) to Mrs Mp cos thats all that would fit in the bag :rotfl:

Anakat, I was so inspired by your blanket that I unravelled the few squares I had made for Ds's throw and redid them like yours. Even though they are white grey and black they look really good that way.

F1 good to hear from you, send Edna off on her travels, its not fair her calling so near Chrimbo.

Have been busy sitting all afternoon apart from filling the slow cooker and cooking a huge pan of carrots and turnips. So have weekends meals all done ready to assemble - gosh Im organised today :D

DH was supposed to be going to the pub tonight and I had planned to finish his Christmas scarf while he was out but he came home from work and announced that he couldn't be bothered to go out!
