Just popping in to say hello we had a great time even though the weather was a bit 'iffy'
Not read through yet so will do that as and when... we have the girls until Sunday so quite busy now.
Managed to get over to see MrsTwins yesterday she is such a lovely lady, dropped off a blanket I made up from some donated squares and 3 bags from Grace Mom's friend.

I hope you are all well and I will be back after Sunday, so take care everyone sending Love to all Axx

Afternoon all, bit late on parade today as I had a LIE IN !!

No work,no little J clattering about, just peace and quiet - till the dogs started barking to be let out for a p.

Have just glanced at the latest posts. I must try to pop in every day so that I don`t miss anything.

    Pippa-glad you enjoyed your break.

Jean - just you tell him you need to keep busy while he is driving,........ and why is it only half a wool shop may I ask ? Will that be enough? Mind you, sandcastle making will take up some time I suppose. ;)

Kathy - I`ve got that irritating cough and stubborn headache too. It`s a real nuisance isn`t it. The sore throat -like you`ve been eating steel wool and razor blades - didn`t last long but the other symptoms are dragging along.
Soon be time for the flu jabs too.

Had a bit of a shock on Thursday morning. I had to scrape ice from the car windows  before taking DS to work. Must remember to buy some de-icer as scraping takes tooo long when running late.

Went to local Lidl as I wanted to see the loom they are advertising. It looks quite big and round and I thought it might be good for hats, cowls etc.
Had a bit of bother finding it as it is very small and oval shaped in a box, only about 6"long. Pattern for socks with it, somehow I don`t think I`ll be doing that - but you never know. I might have been waiting all my life for that. It might land up in the back of the cupboard with all the other `one day I`ll do that` projects.

Off to have a bacon roll and a cuppa and catch up with the other postings.
Birthday cake this afternoon :T Oldest granddaughter will be 13 on Monday so tea party this afternoon. Will save some crumbs to share with you all later.

    Byeeeeeee.

wanted to share this with you
do you remember me ranting about DS1 having his bike stolen, hes finally got another. thanks to a lovely lady on freecycle.
wed been watching prison break on friday and id forgotten to turn the puter off so it was on later than usual. while logging off i saw a freecycle email from a lady offering a large mans mountain bike. messaged her explaining what had happened, she messaged me on saturday inviting DS1 to come and have a look at it. he was thrilled her DS must have been even taller as we had to lower the seat!. i got a lovely message off her yesterday thanking me and saying what a nice son i had DS1 had been out in the afternoon and taken her some flowers round as a thank you.
have told him i will get him another bike lock (a really strong one this time) but it really does restore your faith in humanity.

    Hi everyone.

Yesterday was the first day I felt as if the cough and headache were really starting to go away.

PSSO - I hope you are feeling better now? You are right; it's been a real nuisance and, worst of all, the cough made me feel tired all the time. Can't believe you've been ice-scraping already!

Happily, I am now feeling much better and looking forward very much to Jean's visit later this morning! I hope she can find our house!

Mrs Moneypenny - great news about the bike. Your DS must be so pleased; what a good thing you hadn't logged off or you'd have missed the chance!

Ginnyknit - I am so glad that the scan went well.

Pippa - if I remember rightly, Chalky and her DH had visitors for a week or so, so I expect she's been busy entertaining!

Well, I've been getting on with some squares to use up odds and ends of wool; once I've sewn in the ends (why is that such a horrid job?) I shall add them to my totals.

I still haven't spent any time with my new sewing machine, what with DH being home and getting on with jobs in the house, and my online work and not feeling too good for the last week or so, it's been difficult to pin down the time.

Anyway, I shall take a cuppa back to bed because it's still really early. Will call back in to let you all know about Jean and her DH's visit!
