PSSO - I know you will be relieved when he is home - thinking of you and your son - big hugs xx
ISOM - oh I do hope they find out whats wrong with mum soon and that you wont get too stressed about it - thinking of you xx
mioliere - hope you got the computer sorted - sounds like its been attacking a lot of people - I seem to get tons of spam about credit, prizes, viagra, etc since I went on one particular website to sign up for something now I cant get rid of them luckily they go in my spam box most of the time but its soooo annoying xxx
purpleteddybear - many hugs and loving thoughts - I had an Uncle who died 10 years ago now - and I always say I would love him back just for one more day - he lived next door with my Nan and took me everywhere to see things and as I grew older you could have a real chat with him and was so unique - I know it sounds soppy or odd but I always say the biggest star in the sky is him watching xxxxxxx
blackcrow - I appreciate that its not pleasant the thought of someone washing you - I have to say that on two occasions Ive needed help with washing my dear hubby has helped he does not mind doing things like that so ive been lucky - my old neighbour cant use one of her hands now and a hairdresser does her hair once a week but as for washing she wont let anyone do that - cant say I blame anyone for not wanting that
I broke my fingers once and until you have no use of them you dont realise what you do with you hands.
Chalky - I did chuckle when you said the sunshine bus had a full tank - bless you xxxx
I just wish I could get out more rather than a silly dream I have ......
One day I will be alright and the shops wont know whats hit them tee hee xxx
Oh its so cold and yes still raining and getting very windy - did roamin send us her hurricane ?????? Have put the heating on and been making cards this afternoon
prfungi - I saw that you wanted to convert a cardigan into preemie size would this help - my MIL gave me the Bliss pattern from Yours magazine and I think you can download the whole set from the internet or write to them https://www.bliss.org.uk - I think its cardigan, blanket and hat - and for anyone else if they are interested
I will be off now for a cuppa and a Bourban (thats the biscuit not the alcohol :rotfl:)catch up soonDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -
Good afternoon to one and all
This thread is such a wonderful place to come to. --- Every day is different but every day special.
Mostly I am so glad it is proving to be passing the test of time. Of course what wonderful woolly work but somewhere we can all come to just for that loving word, encouragement and sympathy.
I actually do think of you all and PTB --I am so sorry-- It is never the right time to lose your Mum. You only ever have 1 Mum and to have lost yours at such a young age and in such a tragic way is a very cruel blow. Can you see your Mum in your gorgeous children? In a few years time you will look in the mirror and there will be your Mum looking back --- and I always said " Oh that will never happen to me" but actually its strangely comforting
Psso Your post made me feel very humble -- I am so sorry that you are having such a worrying time. You have been through so much. Give that little one an extra hug and I hope your DS is soon home where he belongs. Of course it won't take him long to make a mess !!! My girls are stars at it!!
So I feel humble because I am fussing about DD2 going on an adventure when your DS is so poorly.
Anne A week ago today you were here -- No cream tea today! I do hope MIL progresses well - What a worry!
ISOM Hope they get your Mum sorted out soon. Such a worry for you too!
Shelley-- Big hugs fro you and Mum
Pam You cuddle away. I am so glad it is bringing you some comfort.
SK Glad the key rings are oK
MRS m WOULD YOU LIKE SOME FOR YOUR FAIR?
Kathy-- Not many more sleeps now!
Owens Lou at Loving Hands Charity Knitters has a team of finishers so I am sure she would love your things
Jean Hope you have got your breath back!
Doh is still having an affair with his ladder -- The house is beginning to look lovely but what a lot of work. Lazy days in Spain seem a long way away at the moment. I went out yesterday and bought some cyclamens, little firs, heathers and violas and have redone the tubs this morning. I felt as he was working so hard on the house I should spruce up the garden a bit. And it looks lovely now.
Well DS and the Lovely crafty daughter in law are on their way. DD2 is having a leaving do at a local Rugby Club tomorrow evening-- Fancy dress of course. But she isnt going as a carrot this time. I loathe Fancy Dress but think I can manage a Cow Girl !!! DOH has a secret outfit --- how scary is that !!Ds and DDIL are really excited about theres so it must be me that is the odd1 out!
Love to one and all x
Lots of gentle thoughts to one and all xTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Well try as I might I haven't yet caught up with all the postings I am on about page 39 so not too far to go now. I am going to make a promise to myself that WHEN I next have loads on here - the monsters, visitors, headless chicken mode etc. I WILL LOG IN AT LEAST ONCE A DAY AND POST TOO, its just amazing all the things I missed! How could I leave you all to just get on with it - I am shamed. Got drenched getting the shopping, I am a nut there is a lovely supermarket with a huge undercover carpark and did I go there.......did I heck as like, so it's my own fault I was soaked to the skin. Then when you get back into the car it takes ages for all the steamy windows to disapear, honestly I had better get my act in gear or I will be sacked. F1 if you have the time, I can come and get you and then you could shift some of the STUFF from my big barn, please just let me know when you are through going round the UK. Chalky, hope the party goes really well, you have me pondering just what your DH will be going as but no doubt you will let us all know after the event. ISOM hope you have some positive news on your mum and that she is soon on the mend. I know I am missing loads of folk but believe the head is full of "sweeties" which was mum's favourite expression. Off to get some photo's of my huddle of hedgies for the wooligans page, then onto the machine for some more snowmen. Like Arnie - I'LL BE BACK.

Hi everyone.
Chalky - yes, the days are being counted! You are so right about this thread being a lovely place - it really keeps me going! Hope DH is using his ladder safely!
Jean - poor you; we've had no rain here today. A bit of cloud but plenty of sun - I think it needs to rain, though, because it's very warm. I hate missing days on here -there's so much to catch up on, isn't there, even when it's been a bit quiet. I shall be playing catch-up after our trip to the UK.
Well, the painting of the bedroom is now finished and it's looking a whole lot better. DH has worked so hard on it and all I'm doing now is the pretty bits, like cushions and so on! We still need to do the floor but are not going to start that until we've been away and come back.
I've finished a brooch I've made for my mum and will try and get some photos on my blog tomorrow, if I have time. I want to make her a necklace, too, so will be giving that a go later. I've bought her a lovely handbag, a really French-looking handbag charm, a notebook that I will decorate for her, and I hope to get some photos of the grandchildren in an album done in time for when we leave.
I've also finished a cat blanket for ISOM but will try and get another one done and post them together.
Well, I'd better go and check the dinner.

Hi - ISOM, can you just confirm that the cat blankets need to be 20"? That's the size of my first one, but I can add or subtract if necessary! Good luck to your mum, and how kind of Seakay to look after her for you. Glad that one cat is settled and the other is on the way to being settled. Sadly, no sign of Louis - four weeks today so I think that's it. Hopefully, he's found a nice new home that serves daily steaks and doesn't want to come back to supermarket-brand cat food!

Only me
I can't believe what I did today....I was late for the dentistyep really.....I thought it was 10.30 and it was 10.00  I just hate being late for anything, but I am sure the receptionist thought I was telling porkies, the very idea, I did see the dentist but had to wait a while,my own blinkin fault !!!
Anyway I have to go again next week for a filling and a top up on a back tooth, it keeps on getting ground down.....like me
OH had a phone call from the hospital today asking him to go and see the Doctor when he gets there tomorrow, she seems concerned that MIL is'nt getting any better.
