Well it has literally rained all day- Bucketloads of it. So Anne you are cosier at home!
I have been busy mending -- not one of my favourite activities but DOH rain jackets hook had come off. DD1'S zip had broken in a pair of work trousers and DD2 wanted a tatty pair of jeans turned into shorts for her trip. So a busy time for needle! All done now!
Congratulations PTB --a new neice. What a shame they are so far away
Mrs M What a difficult time for you all -- you are in my thoughts. Only time makes it better but the missing just carries on. It is good to have loved someone so much though.
Seakay Yes keep your eye out for the yurt
Jean Lovely to have you back posting-- we missed you!
ISOM Mum is certainly keeping you busy -- what a worry! Hope things settle down soon. I am so glad that she is with you or you would be beside yourself with worry.
Blackcrow-- That sounds absolutely horrendous. No wonder you are feeling low and frustrated. Hope the pain begins to ease.
You too Kathy with the tendonitis. Sorry about the spam.
Sk --Glad things have settled down with the boys.

Evening ladies - just a quickie (she says laughing...)
kathy - firstly my old neighbour I think uses wilshire farm foods and it is a godsend to her and they sound extremely tasty - they are very good on deliveries and I have to say without sounding rude she is fussy about food and would not use them if they were not nice - secondly I received two emails from you one explaining that you had been "taken over" and the second with a website link which I did not open given the email you had sent - dont worry i didnt see anything nasty!! I still love you lol xxxx

Hellooooooooooo - tis me!
Well I eventually found my fawn wool and I've finished knitting my Ted for Tragedy, just have to stitch & embroider; have to say I didn't find it an enjoyable knit - a bit too "fiddly and faffy" with all the colour changes etc. Not sure it was worth the hunt for the d****d fawn wool!
I'm now trying a baby jacket - trying to get a preemie size from standard pattern - will let you know how it goes. If all else fails I will go back to Squares for a while or maybe a baby blanket!
I still can't find my camera cable so cannot post the pics I've taken recently, including the lovely Chalky blanket in memory of Mum. Chalky - I still have it, I cuddle it occasionally - I hope that's OK.
F1 - oooooh - please feel free to visit - I've always got stuff to sort out if that's what you really want to do - but I'd rather feed you cake & coffee /tea/alcohol - whatever.
If any of you are driving up/down the country on the M1 I live less than 5 mins from junction 36 (South Yorks)
Pol - here's the link for the wristwarmers from last year.

Maytaurus - thanks for your lovely posts and for your efforts to keep in touch - ( in this you put me to shame ).
Mioliere - sorry the cat's gone awol - hope he turns up eventually, it sounds as though you're being adopted by the neighbour's moggie so keep in mind Lois may have done the same. Can tell you're getting excited about the trip back.
Sock-knitter - huge Hugs - hope things stay calm; Well done re the fella!
Blackcrow - ouch!!! I hope you feel better soon!
PurpleTeddyBear - Congratulations on becoming an aunt.
Roamin' - hope you're recovered from the littlies visit! You must try & STOP sometimes.
psso & k2tog don't recall any recent posts (doesn't mean a thing - memory like a sieve - LOL) - hope you're OK!
Isom - well done with your return to work - stay positive!
Dpixie & Chalky try to stay dry!
Hugs to everyone - especially those I've missed and anyone going through tough times.
nightie night

still here but its been eventful! So much to having a snooze; just got to sleep and mum had another fit so made her safe and then managed, after about an hour, to get her to sleep as she gets very tired after (like the post migraine belugh but worse) and again tried to snooze but unsucessfully. Made food and then we sat and chatted for a few minutes before she went a bit quiet and then another full blown fit! Rang out of hours for advice and they arranged another amubulence so here I am after a somewhat eventful 48 hours. Mum safely in hospital and is at last being seen by the epilepsy service tomorrow and I hope will have a MRI or ECG to see whats what but at least I can tell them what she does when fitting as never been there before (feel an old hand now lol) so that should help them in their diagnosis.
Alas i still have to go to work so off to my pit I go for some sleep. Thank goodness its bank holiday weekend!
F1 go for it! Well done you.
Lovely to see you pfungi!

Hi everyone
Well, I've had right fun and games with the fall-out from whoever decided to use my email account to spam everyone on my contacts list! I've also had a few suggestions for what I can download to 'clean' up my PC. I ran my existing spyware thingie last night which said that everything was 'active' - well, it wasn't active enough because it let this hoo-ha (sp?) happen! From some of the personal emails I've had from friends and family, I gather that the spam was about V***gra! I'm really angry that this has happened and I really hope that I haven't offended anyone.
F1widow - thanks for your comments! I'm glad you didn't open the attachment. I love you, too, and would hate to have offended you! My mum (who is, thankfully, not yet online so didn't receive any nasties from me!) is really excited about the farm foods. I have arranged for their catalogue to go straight to her, so she can start ordering. Looking at it, I'd be very tempted too, if they delivered to France - what a time saver and brilliant prices considering the meals look well-balanced. When you do your Grand Tour, will you be able to come to France, too? There's three of us here - all scattered about the country, so it would mean a lot of driving through some spectacular scenery!
Chalky - I keep getting the butterflies on your behalf thinking about your DD2 setting off on her travels! You must be going through a rollercoaster of emotion but it's proof that you've brought her up to grab life and run with it. She'll have the most fantastic time accompanied by all the things you have made and mended for her, which will remind her of her lovely family back home. The tendonitis is something I have more or less got used to (well, I won't let it stop me knitting, crocheting or typing!) but sometimes it just gets more painful than usual and, although I hate taking tablets, sometimes I just have to give in!
By the way, Chalky - Lou is definitely about. She emailed me yesterday to say that she had received the spam email from me. She said it had happened to her and others she knows recently, too! Anyway, she's definitely around - why don't you email her about your parcel? I really hope it got to her - I remember the size of it from the photo you posted!
ISOM - thinking about you and your mum. Thank goodness she is with you these days, not far away.
Pam - great to hear from you. Hope life is treating you well?
Mrs Twins - will check up on your blog later on today! Thanks for keeping us all posted!
Well, suddenly I'm getting lots of online work from one particular company I work for (from home, so it's nice and convenient!) - so my time is even more at a premium these days! I have loads to do - I must finish off my Mum's birthday pressies and I haven't even thought about DS1's birthday (which is the day we sail back to the UK), so I really must start working out some sort of timetable! I'm not helping DH as much this week because he's just painting and can do that without any 'help' from me - apart from keeping him supplied with cuppas. The housew**k gets in the way, though, and I have a pile of ironing to do that I have to find time for pretty soon!
Anyway, I'm 'mioliering' so I'd better close.
Hope you all have a good day.

Hi all
Hope everyone is well this fine and sunny morning (well, I can dream – it’s dismal and overcast here in Yorkshire at the moment, and it’s cold!!)
Can I simply request a few little hugs today – am feeling really down and can’t stop crying. It’s 3 whole years since I lost my Mum and it’s still so raw I can’t imagine this feeling ever going away…..
She was only 54, and we had 10 days with her once she had her cancer diagnosed. I miss her.
It hurts.
Dawn xx:hello:0 -
