Hello peeps, just popping on to say Hi, am not very good company at the mo as my very elderly puss cat was killed by a pit bull on Friday. Its not huge in the scheme of things but my little house is so empty and I feel a bit lost. Hubby is very sad as TC kept him company in bed and it was such a shock he took ill. Luckily DS was here and DD's chappie had our car as they had been for DGS 's check up so he raced over to take me to the vets, sadly 5 minutes down the road puss died. So if Im not around I am thinking of you all my dear friends but am keeping busy so I get my head together. I have had and lost many pets at my age but this was just cruel.
Hoping you are all doing ok hugs ginny xxxClearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
ginny - that's awful for you and DH, you poor thing, totally understand that you are so devastated. I would ask what the owners of the pitbull have said? but it wont bring your cat back.
Lots of hugs to you and DH, take care, pop back in when you can xxx
Am hoping Im not blocked again when I do this post!
Kathy - good to hear Mum is back and getting settled again - lets hope someone is VERY busy at Christmas (whoops did I say that!) xx
prfungi - ssshhh everything crossed xxx
chalky - hoping you are having a lovely time xxx
roamin - you really are a very clever lady, those hats are great and you designed them! your talents are endless and not appreciated half as much as they should be! We appreciate you though xxx
Well Im hoping after Ive done some "surface damage" clear-up to sit and knit today ..... I say that every day and I never get there until the evening. I should get on with "the drawers" really which I might do some later or should I just get an hour done now?????? hmmm
Anyway whatever you are doing today I hope the sun is shining and you are all feeling good - take care and a big hug xxxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -

Oh, Ginny, I am so sorry to hear your horrid news; what a dreadful thing to happen to a poor defenceless cat. Pets, no matter how big or small, are members of the family and, like Jean says, leave a huge hole when they go. I am sending hugs to you, your OH, and your family.
F1 - thanks for your kind words. Mum is settling back in now but it has taken a few days.
Thanks for doing the update, Jean!

Ginny, ((hugs)) so sorry to read about your lovely cat. I don't know why people can't keep their dogs under control, or teach them that cats are not prey.0

Hi everyone
It has definitely got colder in the evenings and early mornings here, too; a sure sign that autumn is on the way. The sun is shining and it's really warm now, so I've taken my cardi off!
Shaz - sounds promising! I hope it goes well; you deserve some good luck.
Chalky - I know you must be counting down the days, but I bet you are making the very most of little William right now. I hope you and the whole family are having a great week.
Well, I have been asked to do an article about stainless steel cookware for the American market for a new website that is under construction, so I'd better do a bit of research and get going on it.
Hope you all have a great day.

Hello everyone, are you all well ?
Prfungi - do you KNOW how difficult it is to knit or crochet with fingers crossed - so have been doing it mentallyAny further news ?
Shaz- they`re crossed for you too - you deserve some fun in your life. Hope things go well for you.
Jean - well done with the hats girl ! Those machines will be red hot now you have got them going again.
Chalky - keep acuddling that munchkin for as long as you can - then save up those pennies in the jar for an airyplane ticket or two.
Kathy - hope things have settled down again.

Don`t know what the aran is like, but the dk is lovely to work with. Maybe the colours aren`t suitable though ? At that price I keep thinking there MUST be something I could use it for (I do like a bargain)
Having a quiet few days here, not working again till the weekend. Still have holidays to use up so will have to see if I can get away for a few days on my own. Had a wee tax rebate recently so maybe will spend it on ME for a change.
Meanwhile the yarn stash is dwindling. Baby blankets, prem Angel Claire tops and hats are being produced as I have decided that the horrible h****work can wait for a while longer, until I`m in the mood. Don`t hold your breath on that one girlies
Off to have a cuppa in the sun while it`s here and do a bit more knitting.
