Sshhh - quietly whispering - I may have a buyer for spanish property!...although less than I was hoping for and a lot less than I paid, it is a positive shift in my life just now and much needed

Please keep your fingers and toes crossed - 'til the money moves to my little paw - I know nothing is certain

    luv

    Hi everyone

Pam - I am keeping just about everything I have crossed for you! It would be wonderful to get the Spanish property sold so that at least that bit of your life is done and dusted. Good luck with it all!

Jean - the hats are all brilliant. Hope your meal goes well tonight. I've been baking like mad for the afternoon tea we've been invited to later on today. I think I've made enough cakes, loaves, and shortbread to be able to open my own patisserie!

Mrs Moneypenny - you are right about Jean's hats; I wouldn't know which one to choose!
Chalky - so glad the family got there in the end. I hope you all have a lovely time together.

F1 - I welcome your thoughts. It really does make you aware of the wisdom behind the old saying 'you can choose your friends, you can't choose your family', doesn't it?

Pippa - have a great time with the girls!

Well, the sun is shining and it's really warm. My Mum is settling back into her familiar routine again at last, and she and Jane are spending a lot of time together, which is good for them both. As soon as Mum got back from her week away and saw Jane, she said 'where have you been all my life?' which shows just how much she had missed her. They are planning Christmas together (sorry to mention the 'C' word in August!), and hoping that my other sister does not try and put a spanner in the works.

Anyway, I'd better go and decide what wine to take to the 'do' this afternoon. I still have some Pamplemousse (grapefruit) Rose (accent over the 'e') which is really popular here, and delicious to drink so, if I can bring myself to part with a bottle from my hoard, I may take that.

Love to all and I hope you all have a good day.

took a good few hours yesterday but you would not believe how chuffed I am that I managed to do this one on the knitting machine - no interruptions obviously helped. Yes its huge but I can make them smaller now I have a better idea of what size that one turned out to be. S-in-Law's best beau is my model......he had the biggest head even tho' I was convinced DH HAD THAT!

    UPDATE
    5 child hats
    6 adult hats

Have a terrific afternoon Kathy - I will do the update tomorrow am for you then give you the number for the next start if that's ok??

Jean, you are one very clever lady, and so determined, too! The biggest head that I know is the one that belongs to my DH's brother - he had to have a crash helmet custom-made for him!

Thanks so much for doing the update for me tomorrow; that will get me back to normal! I hope you get more uninterrupted time in your sweatshop!
