i think DD3 still has her 'wonky donkey' from ant and decs saturday show. it was a 3 legged donkey she won LOL.

i bought some knitting books from the carboot recently, one is bags, one cushions and one blankets and throws, i started a handbag at the weekend knits up really quickly because its chunky wool but ive knitted the handle slightly shorter than instructed as i didnt want to start the 2nd ball of wool and run out as ive only got 2 balls and should need the other for the 2nd side and handle, i can adjust the handles at the end to get them both the same length and hopefully have enough to sew up.

Busy days here again...just having a few minutes for a catch up.

kathy - Yes have Mum home and settled away from her first. I can understand you and Jane cutting off ties with her, people who behave the way she does disrupt and cause distress to everyone, seems to me as chalky said it's jealousy plain and simple, she must be a really lonely, sad person underneath it all x
anakat - lovely to see you again
mrs-moneypenny - well done on the books, DGS had a 'wonky donkey' when she was small she never went anywhere without it
jean - love the hat, loving all the happy pictures thank you they brighten the days x
chalky - Oh dear fancy having to go to a wool shop however will you manage:rotfl:
ginnyknit - Hope the Sciatica has calmed down today
f1 - hope all is well with you, off to have a peep round your door

MrsTwins is coming over on Thursday to pick up 2 blankets I have made up and 5 bags(25 in each) of squares from Mom's friend.
Out tonight at my friends, OH is playing snooker with her OH and we have a bottle of vino collapsio to try out ;)

    Love to all...present...lurkers and MIA's

jean those hats are brilliant. Do you use the cones of yarn on the machine?
    Love the hedgie one best!

Pippayes, it was a real chore. I took my laptop on my Pinterest Crochet page and made myself buy colours way outside my palette comfort zone but which I loved on Pinterest.
    The lady was really amused!

So it's brights all the way for the next blanket.

Hi Chalky - here I am! Thank you for thinking of me! I've just posted an update in LH (Thanks to your nudge xx) and have copied it here:

    Hi peeps!
Thought I'd better get in touch & let you all know what's been happening lately. I think I told you that I'd decided to put my house on the market, well finally I got it presentable enough to be photographed & the place was finally advertised 6 weeks ago, since then I have been trying to clear STUFF - I have an amazing amount (being a hoarder, 'cos it might be useful or I might lose weight again - ha ha! I've even cleared some of MY books, plus a couple of hundred of my son's!!
At the same time I've been trying to sell my place in Spain..... (This has been on the market for a couple of years but its now becoming essential so things have had to be moved up a gear.
    So stressful isn't the word.......
This means I haven't touched a ball of yarn, or a square since I got back the knitting show in Scotland I.e. mid-May - however, please rest assured the Memory blankets haven't been forgotten, half of #3 left to sew then the 3 to edge! If nothing else these will by my projects when I go for my (much needed) escape to Nessa's in September.

I've been lurking as and when but I can only access LH on my iPad for some reason so I don't respond as much as usual (YES! I know that wasn't often anyway - lol)

Take care everyone - I'm ok just!! Love & hugs to you all

    Pam

Oops forgot to say 1 Viewing no joy for Uk house. Just heard that I've a possible inSpain (after cutting the price by (yet another)15% - still) fingers crossed folks.

    Xx

Great to see you again Pam.......hope the SALES go through in no time at all.......then you can get back to the serious business of crafting.

Off to collect Sis-in-laws new wood burner today - boy we live an exciting life here, all I really want to do is knit hats - now I seem to have cracked a pattern I am happy with.........well the machine and yarn will still be there for me when I return. I still have a humungous stash of 4, 3, 2 and even 1 ply cones for machine, so need to use it up and why is it the colour you want is the one you either don't have or have used up first??????
Lots of love and cuddles to you all enjoy your day - whatever you intend doing with it.

Pam it was lovely to hear your news. I do hope everything goes well with the house sales. Whereabouts do you want to settle?
I know what a lot of work sorting STUFF is.. We are still at it.

I has a lovely hour last night before going out for a pizza with a friend. Yum. The Pizza Cafe in our town is an independent one that as been going for over 25 years and it is small unpretentious and brilliant.

Anyway my hour .... I sat with my yarn and my IPad and found the pictures then put the wool into sets for each project. It is the part I find the arrest and lack confidence with choices at times. I know I will probably not work the exact blanket but it will my version of a blanket I like.

    Pinterest is wonderful. Love it.

Well I am off to get my eyes checked this morning and some new glasses ... All settled after cataract op.

Then it's lots of shopping with family arriving tomorrow . Oh and cooking too. Lots.... So must get on .

    Love to one and all.

I wonder how Seakay and shaz are?
