Sending hugs to Kathy and of course to all of you too. F1 nice to hear from you, was wondering how you are doing? I like the cowl you made am thinking of trying one myself with a huge ball of aran just like you have on your blog
Its too hot and the thermometer in the car has gone insane - it reckons its 90 degrees now:D
Cant settle to anything tonight as Oh is pinching my office then pinching my chair, then he wants to use the table - driving me mad I tell you :rotfl: I dont mind cos he has mostly been in bed for 2 days though we did nip out earlier and I raced round the market, huffed and puffed in the Post office ( car tax day and I forgot, usually avoid it) and ran in and out of the CS to drop stuff off. He told me to slow down in the end but I was worried about him waiting in the car...cant flipping win...mutter mutter....Clearing the junk to travel light

ginnysorry life is so hectic
To all MIA'S the gentlest thoughts.
Well I have had a big box of finished hedgehogs at the bottom of the wardrobe and every time I opened the door they were muttering they were bored.yesterday I was checking my emails and there was a Groupon voucher from the Wildlife centre and hedgehog hospital just up the road.
http://.http://www.devonwildlifecentre.co.uk/
It has reopened with new owners . So I took the bull by the horns and emailed them and ,yay, yay , yay she had been hoping I would contact her as she definitely wants more hedgies. So that is wonderful and I am going to meet her this afternoon.Special thanks to those of you who have been kind enough to send flat pack hedgies. They are off to pastures new!
Now this sparked a lightbulb moment I decided to start a new blog. It is going to be called Williams Stories and I am going to write stories on the blog and William will be able to read them in Dubai. Reading stories to him is one of my favourite things and I think that by doing this I will feel so much closer to him. I was awake in the night thinking of the first story and he loves his hedgehog called Hodge so the first one is going to be about Hodge and his adventures.
I feel so much better thinking that I am actually going to do something. I was going to send something regularly but apparently the post is very unreliable and very expensive so I would have been sad if things were getting lost.
Talking of blogs ... My latest Lappys are on mine. They are foe Ddils Nans nursing home.
Well Oh has gone to the cricket at Taunton today so its sewing machine out. Will it behave??
Have good days everyoneTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Just employ the POSITIVE THOUGHTS to the sewing machine it WILL WORK
I have been eaten alive by HORSE FLIES..........the bites are enormous - last time I help out the Sister in Law in her garden!
I will catch up with you all later today - right now I have to run and get some groceries in or we will all starve (well that's what DH thinks-men eh)
love and cuddles to you all

Hello chums, hope you are well.
Pippa - glad you enjoyed your holiday. Always fancied a cruise but never got round to it, don`t suppose I ever will now.
Ginny - re the rushing about to save OH having to wait too long in the car. Sometimes you just get days like that - damned if you do and damned if you don`t. Hope you have a slower day today and get some peaceful crafting done.
Chalky - Not much I can say to ease your upcoming heartache. You`ll just have to look forward to Dubai holidays and keep the old brain working on new stories. Little J loves his stories too so I`ll have to keep an eye out and pinch some of yours. :T Get fed up of reading the same old favourites and we`re running out of space for new books.
My sewing machine was relegated to the back of the upstairs cupboard when we moved here 22 years ago and it`s so heavy I don`t think I would be fit enough to remove it now.
Jean - I do hope the horsefly bites don`t turn out like the one I had a few years ago when we were on holiday in the caravan. Got infected and when I consulted the local chemist he reckoned the fly had dined on horse sh!! before having me for dessert  I ended up in hospital for 5 days on a cocktail of antibiotics to get rid of the infection and, as if that wasn`t bad enough, I came out in a very bad red rash all over my body as well. It turned out I was allergic to one of the antibiotics in the cocktail
Did you get the shed erected ? You should have given me a shout and I`d have hopped over - that`s where your problem was. You need 5 folk, 4 to hold up each side and a 5th to run round knocking in the nails to hold them together
Kathy - hope you managed to load up the car with lots of goodies and managed to enjoy some quality time with the family.Roll on the next holiday - or better yet, get the house sold and relocate permanently.
F1 - I might have a go at the cowl as well, change from grannies and blankets. Have some aran in one of my boxes somewhere I think.
By the way, has anyone done a scrappy scarf like the ones on LH.? Just wondered how many stitches to cast on - about 150 maybe, or more ? Haven`t been able to get on to LH website for ages now, well I get on sometimes but get frozen out before I can do anything. Anything interesting happening there just now ?
Still eating from the freezers, but will have to go to the supermarket for bits and pieces. You know the essentials, crisps, pop, sweeties,:rotfl:oh and some bread, milk, cheese etc.
Bye for now.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

Hello everyone.
I hope things are fairly much on an even keel for everyone. I know lots of things are going on,going wrong and generally round in circles but I send you all the gentlest hug.
I am trying very hard just to click on with things, keep a steady momentum going. In the main it is working, helping and keeping me focused on each day as it is? i am looking forward and thinking. It is only just over 2 weeks til they go.
I have now got the main characters sorted for the story blog.
Hodge the hedgehog. Know it all a bigger hedgehog and Hairy make the trio. Then there is Braveheart the Lion. Zippy the Zebra, Rabbit long legs, and lastly Wise Owl.
They are all soft toys which sit on Williams bed when he comes to isit. He comes in the front door and immediately goes up the stairs and pulls them all off.
I have got the basis of three stories so far and am going to add photos of the actual animals as the stories unfold. Then William will be able to see and have them read to him in Dubai.
Well the new hedgehog lady was lovely and expecting an older lady to arrive. I know I am getting old but she obviously expected someone on their 70's or80's!!!
Gosh she has given the place a shake up and it was buzzing. Lots of Groupon people.
So you never know it might go well. Again if anyone needs things for fairs please shout as the hedgies help so much with postage etc. I am more than happy to help.
Well special love to Kathyas you try and settle back home.
Ginny thanks for being so supportive of my blog. A lovely comment today.
jean hope those bites have settled

Hmmm! I can't get into LH from my laptop either - get blocked at login for 3 or more unsuccessful attempts taken to a code input thingy which doesn't work...... However if I use my ipad - get through no problem at all. I've tried all the usual tricks clearing cache etc - no good ...........
Who knows - I just browse every now & again...

roamin, you get up at 6.30 to make cakes and trifle and send us a picture saying 'have a restful Sunday'
hope you get to put your feet up with a cuppa somewhere along the line.
Chalky thank you, I love your blog, its a lovely place to visit.
Have a few hours break today as OH has been taken off to score an important cricket match (only a short one) Its rather an honour for him and I think he will manage ok, he has his supplies etc. So am sat here with my fingers crossed.
Am waiting for my boiled egg but realised I havent switched the cooker on at the wall  and my soldiers are all sat waiting patiently :rotfl:
I think Im a bit confuzzled at the mo to be honest. Am knitting the cowl that F1 does and read the pattern wrong ' 30 stitches and 100cms ' I read as 30 sts and 30 cms ! Dolls cowl anyone?Clearing the junk to travel light
