    Hi everyone

Jean - the hats are really fantastic; well done. I hope you don't keep getting all those interruptions because you so obviously just want to keep crafting!

Pam - great to hear from you and I hope you sell both properties asap. Do you have any definite plans for when they've sold or are you just taking it day by day?

Shaz - glad you had a good time on the Isle of Wight; it's one of my favourite places. Please give your mum a hug.

Pippa - yes, I think, like Chalky, that you have summed up my sister really well. I think she is sad and lonely, and she also fits the narcissistic profile. Someone told me that she has all the traits so I've been researching, and it really does seem to fit. I want to break off ties with her but am in two minds whether or not to tell her why. Jane feels the same, so it's a bit of a dilemma. What I do know is that having this on her mind is quite cathartic for Jane at the moment, but she will come down like a ton of bricks soon, I'm sure. She had to collect BIL's ashes yesterday which was hard for her, as you can imagine, and she has to decide what to do with them. She is discussing it with his parents and brother, and I'm sure they will find the right resting place for him.

Like others on here, I am doing lots of cooking; we've been invited to an English afternoon tea on Sunday at DH's aunt and uncle's place about an hour away, and I've been asked to make some cakes as our contribution. So far I've made two fruit tea loaves (they always go down well) , and I have some shortbread in the halogen oven. Later I shall make some lemon drizzle cake and a Victoria sponge. Around thirty people are expected, so I want to make sure I have enough for everyone and good choice, too. The shortbread has just finished and looks lovely, so I think I'll have to test it after lunch, then make some more!

Ha ha Jean .... Too true. I am actually just sitting down for the first time today!!!!! But I am more or less ready. Oaty flapjacks in tin.chocolate cake in tin, fridges full, treats on beds, holiday train banner up. Toys and books all ready. So now it is just waiting fr them to arrive. I fear they will have had a hot, long journey. So will be just relax time.

I started some squares in bright, bright, bright colours last night. Way outside my usual clour range but I am loving this blanket . Sure I will alter it a bit though.

Also Jean those hats are really great. Just imagine how cosy they will be for someone when the cold weather comes.

Well everyone. Lots of love to one and all...... I wonder how Purple Teddy Bear is?

You are like Superwoman. Sadly we have heard from little family travelling and there has been an accident so they have been diverted off in the back of beyond s around the Bristol area AND th air conditioning I not working.
I think a car full of unhappy bunnies will arrive soon.
Off to get the. Roasted veg prepared.

On a very positive note I ave just, for the first time ever managed to master h join as you go method of assembling squares as you work. I find it a bit awkward but will persevere now that I have cracked it. Kind of,maybe,if I don't forget well for today at least

Kathy - lovely to have you back xxx have fingers crossed for the viewings xxx as for the family reading what you had written just made me :mad::mad: funnily enough "my man" and I have been discussing the effects family can have, their actions or what they say, it definitely doesn't help me in anyway and a no contact break for a few months has been suggested. I hope Mum is OK once she gets back - sending a hug xxx

roamin - am loving the hats lovey you clever girl, I don't know how you just manage to whizz so many things off xxx

chalky - hoping by now family are with you (have popped over to the blog and seen your preparations and it all looks lovely) have a lovely time and cant wait to hear about it soon - take care xxx

shaz - good to see you back honey sorry to hear health is not great though xx hugs for you and Mum xx

Im sure Ive missed loads "again" sorry if I have ..... mind is not on the job at the moment but am fighting back ;);)

Have been in "the room" and managed some carding (pop over to the blog and have a looksee) also after reading chalky's blog about Mandelas have been knitting (not hooking!) some coasters - so my latest obsession is not my fault its chalkys BUt it does use up some cotton from my stash!

Next week am waiting to hear from someone who works with "my man" and we are jumping a few steps and starting some new work so this weekend I plan on trying to escape into the world of craft and not think about that one :D:D

sorry sparkly picture is late - will try harder tomorrow
I was 'dragged screaming and shouting' to the big shops down in Lorient today - I had to drive too............talk about fed up..... this whole week there is a celtique festival on and the place is mobbed. I did NOT WANT TO GO and I knew I would come back with a headache, sore feet and a right stropp on! WELL that's all true. S-i-Law is leaving early on Monday morning and wanted to just grab a few things to take back to the UK -
only took all day at it, well the next shop just might have THE perfect gift - NOT on your NELLY.
I sat quietly last night and designed and punched out a couple of cards for the knitting machine - I do really hope I will be left to my own devices tomorrow to enable me to 'try them out'.
To top it all I can't get anything at all on my lapdog - ggrr I suspect that DH has been trying to access something on it - its security locked and he doesn't have a clue how to even fire it up let alone get anything on it.. so I have an urgent phone call to make to DS who I am certain will fix it in jig time. Now apart from all that lot I really am going to try for a lovely evening sitting crocheting and drinking wine.......back tomorrow folks.

so lots of fun here and down in Devon as we have promised to take them down to the caravan for a couple of days, probably going down Thursday until Saturday or maybe Sunday.

hmmmm don't like shopping then Jean :rotfl:Love the hats
prfungi - I hope you get all sorted and everything sells quickly for you
kathy - I am thinking of Jane, you and your family's and sending comforting hugs for you all
chalky - I hope all is well and they arrived safely, and you are up to your eyes in cuddles,...enjoy xx. Love the eye sizzling colours...ooo they made me smile :)
shaz - We love the Isle of Wight, spent many a happy hour there, glad to hear your Mom is recovering well.Hope you find out what is wrong with you soon
f1 - your blog is lovely and the cards are so pretty. I have just been having a read and I feel proud of you for what you have accomplished lately, the letter you wrote about your illness was enlightening for anyone who does not understand agoraphobia, well done :)

Mrs Twins came on Thursday and we had a lovely long chat over a cuppa, she took the bags of squares from grace home with her to make a start on.
I have a few things to update so I will do that next and I must have a look at the I.S site to see when the hats can be sent off.

Right I must away so TTFN will pop back as and when, love to all Ax
