Happy birthday Shazand Diana hope you have both had great celebrations xx

My Dd1 and her partner gave me a Cookery Course .. One days advanced Chefs skills. It was at ashburton and absolutely brilliant. Fast paced and stretching. To say thank you I cooked for them yesterday.
Well Jamie's 30 minute meals had not thing on me. More like 30 hours. I cooked. I roasted I braised I poached I fried I toasted and I swore a lot. I hint with the ingredients I used, the electricity and the washing up water etc it probably cost as much as another days ourselves .... But it was Fab.
I copied the day exactly and was really chuffed . So were they.

Today I have ad one cold pork pie!!!!!!

I am knitting squares at he moment and also I hav discovered Crochet Mandalas.a moving meditation. Actually a real antidote to his eat. It is just like 1976 the year we go married.

So Kathygod speed and we are all. Thinkin of you all.

    Hi everyone

Shaz- so sorry, I forgot your birthday, too. I hope you had a good one. :bdaycake:

Chalky - the cookery course sounds great. We really will have to visit you one day to sample your skills!

Jean - I keep forgetting to ask you to thank the friends of yours who gave you that code for Brittany Ferries. We used it when we booked and saved £10 each, which is brilliant (and means more money for the wool fund!) True money-saving at its best!

Thank you again for all your support, everyone. I will be thinking of you all.

I'll call in again before we leave tomorrow.

Shaz Hope you had a fab birthday and got lots of wool!

Chalky, oooh sounds fun a cookery course. My cousin just went to France to do the same and had a great time. She was widowed a couple of years ago then looked after her Mum and her MIL but they both passed so she is finding her feet again. Im so pleased she is doing well after so many years of looking after others, its hard Im sure.

OH has another MRI on Friday and his worry is building up. The sooner they decide what the new symptoms mean, the sooner we can tackle them but I must admit to being very worried this time. But we go away on Monday and can try and keep busy till the results come through. I am so looking forward to this break even though we had one a few months ago. Am packing lots of crafty stuff to while away the hours but first have to go to the post office with all this charity stuff before I disappear under parcels lol

Chalky, I picked up a boy doll in a charity shop for DGS and bought a buggy from Sainsburys for £3.00 and he loves it, he really just walks around pushing the buggy but Im sure he will play differently with it soon - I dont care as long as it makes him happy.

The mandala's sound interesting, I will have a google and see what I can find about them. x

    Hi everyone

Ginnyknit - your OH is in my thoughts; I hope you can both take a breather during your break.

Shaz - sorry to hear about the food poisoning.

Well, we are just about ready for our trip back home; this time it will be a bit of an emotional roller-coaster, I know. It will be good to be back amongst the family; I've missed them all so much.

I will be thinking of you all while I'm away and, hopefully, I will be able to log in now and again because I am taking my laptop with me.

Hope the weather is good for us all!

With love and hugs to you all, my wonderful and kind virtual friends.

Kathy you will be in my thoughts too. I hope I can get on the internet this time, the password wouldnt work last time. Have a lovely vanilla candle which I will take with me and light it everynight for your BIL and your lovely family.

Shaz hope you are feeling better, well you are like the queen now you have 2 birthdays, we have decided you deserve them both :D

Am mainly hiding inside today as Im not a sunflower, the heat makes me crabby and I end up looking like a lobster very easily. I prefer the pale and interesting look anyway, goths don't do suntans :D Even I ditch the long black skirts and boots though when its warm and have a slightly lighter wardrobe for summer.

  • Shaz I haven't a scooby why I thought I had missed your birthday - I would blame it on the drink but I have been on the second week of detox so can't use that as an excuse - I apologise tho'. Glad to see you are drinking lots of fluids - helps in this very hot weather.

I too favour the LOBSTER LOOK so have long sleeve shirts and huge hats
to keep the sun off me - no fun when it goes on and on for days but I do have a cool area - known as the sweatshop - 3 foot thick walls keeps it lovely just for crafting, I even manage to knit and crochet down there.

Ginnyknit - try and focus on the holiday rather than the mri - I know it will be hard but grab a couple of days to relax.

Mrs Moneypenny have a great weekend........:wink::laugh:

S-i-L and her Beau due to arrive tomorrow morning so I must scoot and get some jobs completed.

CHALKY - can you come and do the catering for the next month with your new found skills????

Love and cuddles to you all
