Well hello everyone. Been hooking more woolly balls. Tutorial on my blog if you would like to make one.
Do not jump aboard any magic carpet coming this ay just now as it s seriously raining. So... I decided to get my much neglected needles out and make a start on a Bactus scarf. Had to stop to make myself a big bowl of porridge.. So must need some copying on down time.
I know we ave some very long suffering friends on this thread. I know we also have friends with their hands overflowing. Some with so much to deal with they can't always pop in .... But we also have a very brave lady on this thread. Someone who rarely complains but has been brave enough to blog about agoraphobia in the most touching and sensitive way. Good for you F1... Pop over to her blog and see what I mean.
Lots of love to one and all xxTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
I love F1's blog and pop over regularly. I agree it is very brave, these things need to be told so people understand.
I have just found a way to eat all bran - currants, milk and a dollop of extra thick cream, well I had to use it up and the pro's out weigh the cons in my solution
flippin heck, I had just got the magic carpet all fired up and ready to go
Just got 2 parcels posted off so am pleased that the pile is shrinking at last.
I have made a very special blanket this week for Reubens Retreat. A couple lost their beautiful son after 4 days of illness and are fundraising to build the retreat for poorly children. As I do not have cash to spare I contacted them through their facebook page and asked if I could make some blankets for them and they were so touched. So I decided on a rainbow blanket - I cant do photos on here but its going on my blog in a minute. I did it by the song 'red and yellow and pink and green, orange and purple and blue' and it looked awful. Oh said ' no its 'Richard of York gave battle in vain' so I undid it and started again. I am now officially addicted to rainbow blankets and just need a ball of orange wool tomorrow to start the next oneClearing the junk to travel light

Hi Ladies,
I put up a request for Daffodil Squares a few days ago. Unexpectedly I have had two Ladies making their own Daffodil Blankets up for me, so I shall not be needing so many Daff Squares now.
If you have already made them please send them I shall use them in other Blankets if that's okay with you. I do my best to count and judge how many we need but it can't always be precise.
When the 9 Blankets are completed I shall be donating them to Marie Curie Cancer Care Hospices up and down the Country.
Squares will not be wasted. As you know I am always on the look out for 6" Squares Knitted or Crocheted for our Blankets.
Next Monday I am to do a talk at a local Craft Group about our 'SIBOL' project. I'm taking along a Basket of Butterflies to give out to the Ladies and Challenge Blankets to show them. Also photo albums full of our work. I'm nervous but excited. I'll be blogging next week how I got on.
Thanks as always for your support,
Love Mrs.T. x0 -
Mrs Twins, you will be amazing, when you have a passion for something the words just come out and the nerves melt away. I have 2 daffodil squares and will be posting them with 2 possibly 3 blankets next week.

well done on your brilliant wool donation shaz, please be careful not to overdo it and put your wrists recovery back
last night didnt go according to plan as after my govs meeting i was down a&e with youngest who'd hurt his arm at martial arts by 1.30 he was splinted up hes got a buckle fracture (havent heard of those before - apparently its bone squashed rather than broken) so lots of tlc needed there, bless all he was bothered about was losing his 100% attendance at school so i walked down with him to explain whats happened this morning. no pe for 6 weeks and its his writing hand!
massive and gentle hugs to all who need them - there are without doubt some very brave courageous and selfless people on this thread and i take my hat off to you all:TSPC~12 ot 124

So much news to catch up with here; I'll have a long read back and reply in a more personal way tomorrow. I've had interruptions ALL DAY here and have barely had time on the computer, even though I promised myself a day catching up with things.
Jean - I 'disowned' the member who sent that email to Wooligans so, hopefully, we will not be receiving any more. Thanks for the heads up on that and for doing the update for me. I love the crib sets. I really hope the eviction is over soon; I can tell it's frustrating you!
F1 - your blog looks fascinating; I have bookmarked it and will take a proper look tomorrow. Lots of hugs on their way to you.
ISOM p- I've been 'stalking' you on FB and was thrilled to see that you did not have to stay in hospital for long. A speedy recovering vibe and hug is on its way.
Chalky - lovely balls (I know that sounds rude but it's not meant to!)
Mrs Moneypenny - hugs to DS; hope he's not too sore.
Shaz - great news about the donation!
Mrs Twins - great news about the talk at the Craft Group; I just know you'll be brilliant!
Pippa - hope life is treating you well
Ginnyknit - hope OH is doing as well as can be
I've only read the current page on here but will go back to pages before it and catch up on all the other news.
Hugs to you all and especially to all those with their hands full.
Touch wood, my Mum is doing really really well and my BIL is awaiting the results of more tests and a possible op so I shall know more a bit later this week, I hope.
We've had quite a few house viewings but we're still waiting for that one person to come along with an offer. Still, at least people are starting to house-hunt again.
I hope you all have a great evening.
