  • NO Notice, No Compensation, no chance of getting back in till about mid April!!! Believe I will set up in sons bedroom today and just shut the door when I finish all that clearing away, cleaning up is wearing me out!
We have lots of lovely sunshine today, bitterly cold so I will make sure the table is slap bang in front of the radiator! Made the marmalade last week - it's yummy, have plans that this week it will be red jam (depends on what read fruits in the supermarket). Have a great day folks, back a bit later

Hey Salome your blessing worked, I found 5p for my savings pot and the Christmas cake kit I bought in MR T that was £2.50 was further reduced at the till to £1 :j Im obsessed with my 5p savings pot and count it all the time :D

Got lots of parcels here to post off so am sending them as and when I have money, bit of a slow process but am getting there.

I crocheted a very fast daffodil from Attic 24's latest offering and it came out really well so have just invested in a ball of yellow wool and will be attaching them to some squares I already have and sending them with the 2 blankets to Mrs Twins next week.

Sending hugs to all where ever you are. Roamin do you need us to knit you placards for your demonstration?

:rotfl:i agree but if i'd got it it would have just been added to the3ish binbags i already own so at last by leaving it in the shop it stands the chance of being knitted quicker by someone else.

id like to get my stash down to one bag - at the mo there is too much to put in one place its in drawers under our bed, in the cupboard under the stais the attic and the spare room so in all honest i dont know how much exactly i do have:o

  • Mrs Moneypenny - if you keep it on the move then no one will be any the wiser as to just how much stash you have! Ergo - you can still be buying extra without being nagged as having far too much. I employ this trick with the sewing stuff as well as the wooly bits it works a treat.

Just a quick pop in to say hi to all and hope you are all well - lots of hugs and love tucked in xx

crafty crafty - Im hopeless with remembering where our main page is on here but I think its at the bottom of roamin in the gloamins posts or mioliere's that says the post number for the page that says what we do and where to send

If not are you a member of Loving Hands?
http://lovinghands.freeforums.org/wish-lists-t272.html this is a link to their current wish list.

Do you have a local Shelter for homeless, they always welcome Hats and scarves and gloves for adults. Animal rescue centres/vets cry out for pet blankets - and you can use up say any rough wool that you have - I make my cat blankets about 15-20" square and do corner to corner in garter so really easy and pretty quick.

Or There is Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal - they like childrens pull on hats, knitted hand puppets, gloves
http://www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk/knitting-patterns (I like doing the stretchy hat (2x strands DK or chunky)

Preemie baby hats, preemie blankets (again corner to corner starting at 15" square) - 4mm needles DK

Oh boy Ive run away with myself there....... sorrry

    Back to housework - byyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeexxx

PS Mrs M - dont know how you resisted all that lovely sale wool - you have good will power xxx

:rotfl: its still the early part of the year when i both myself and DH can remember the resolution i made to try and declutter some of my stash and use what i have before buying more (unless its an absolute irrisistable bargain or something i need for doing a special item.
give me till mid may and will power will be out of the window and ill have a shed full of extra stash;)

hope all are well, didnt get any knitting done last night as i was trying to get a book read, governors meeting tonight so wont get anything done then either.
