Ahh, I missed you lot!
Beautiful work Anakat - love the heffalump and Jean - gorgeous wee dresses.
Good for you with the Sindy psso!
F1 - cut yourself some slack! No need for the naughty step. Have a cuppa and a hobnob instead.
Have just finished a SANDS blanket and border and can't seem to decide what to do next. I probably should join the stashbuster challenge (tut tut for adding to it f1! but what a lovely pressie from your friend) but don't want to get all my stash out at once and risk DH seeing it all :rotfl:.
What has everyone else got on the go?
Chalky are you persevering with the elephant? Don't feel daft if you can't get on with the pattern. It might be that you need to "see" it in a different way. I've been trying to do some lace knitting off and on and manage to get the count wrong over and over again with the chart and the written instructions. Wouldn't mind but it's only about row 7! Think I'm without hope!0 -
http://www.made-by-rae.com/2008/04/free-itty-bitty-baby-dress-pattern/
was the original little baby dress - then there was a link to a larger toddler dress (I can't get access to that now! Says the blog has been spammed ggrr) and I then upped that pattern even more - it wasn't difficult at all...... If you want the larger sizes let me know I can scan in the pattern and size details
x
FOUND IT AT LAST.................... the top link gives you the instructions/tutorial the link below gives you the toddler size - but you can easily make it bigger

1 litre milk, 3 oz round rice, 2 oz sugar, 1 oz butter rubbed round the dish, sprinkle of nutmeg, stir a couple of times during the cooking - high for 3/4 hours WORKS FOR ME. I did have another recipe that used condensed milk but it was too rich for my taste buds!
NOT CONDENSED...............EVAP is what I MEAN - sorry been a while since I saw either of those tins! The Hooligan Wooligan – age 9¾

Hello and love to one and all.
F1 ... Never mind the naughty step just have a hug. All will happen at the right time. Please do not beat yourself up over this. You are far too special to take that route.
Just been down to our little village for roast Tapas... 1 tapas and 1 glass of rd vino collapso 1.50 euros. Well it would be rude not too!!!
I am taking a stance and moving out of my comfort zone. AKAS beyond the Granny!BUT results are pretty dire.
1. No elephant!!!
2. Hexagonal ball .... Worse.
3. Crochet cat ... Ummm will reserve judgement for now.
Lappys rock as far as I am concerned. ..
Lovely to see so many posting xxxTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Chalky, granny squares used to be my limit too but since I found http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/ I have made all sorts of things as her destructions are so good. She uses a lot of half trebles but they are quick and simple (like me). I have also made some crochet dk hearts which I stuff and slip a cotton wool ball in the middle with a little essential oil on so they are slightly perfumed with winter berries.
I have been amazed how everything comes out so well and my confidence after 45 years of crochet has really improved.
Must go as we have DGS for an hour while his Mummy and daddy are picking a desk up off my Mum. He came here straight from a christening party and flaked out on Grandad after 5 minutes - sooo cute.Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -

gentle supporting ones to those who need those
managed some more hedgehogs, i had a bag of eyelash wool in the cupboard under the stairs and thought only 3 balls i can stash bust that as little hedgehogs, over the weekend had a look in a drawer under our bed and found a whole carrier bag full of eyelash wool so i havent finshed them yet.

they look like roadkill as they are going to be travelling flatpack so i havent had any making up time to add.
angry rant alert:mad:
police rang this morning to speak to DS1 apparently he'd reported a crime to them earlier. she couldnt discuss it with me but i was to be assured he wasnt in any trouble and wasnt hurt.
i said can i guess hes had his bike stolen then, and she confirmed that is the case. i havent heard from him but have just about come off the boil now. he left his bike locked up at college on friday as he got a lift home off someone, it didnt occur to him to go and collect it so he walked there this morning expecting it to be there but it wasnt.
so some scummy little git has got a lovely bike to sell this carboot season and my DH very kindly fitted it with a new inner tube last week!!!!SPC~12 ot 124
