Hi everyone from a freezing but bright and sunny corner of France.
Craftcrafty - you need to go into User CP near the top of the page, scroll down a little until you see 'Edit Signature', click into that, and you will be able to write in the message box. Once you have saved that, it will appear at the bottom of all of your posts. We use it to keep our own running totals of the things we make. That way it's easy for us to keep up to date, and for Jean or I to check that we have the correct numbers when we update the main spreadsheet.
K2tog - great to have you back. Hope all is well.
Chalky - good luck with the elephant! The viewings have all gone well but, of course, now we wait! We have another viewing on Monday, so the market is definitely picking up, which is very encouraging.
My Mum is looking forward to a visit from DS1 and his family today, so that will be lovely for them all, even my DGD1 (10 years old) who has hurt her foot playing cricket and is on 'crunches' (her word, not mine!), bless her. She saved enough money to buy herself an iPad Mini and sends me regular emails and photos, which are wonderful to receive and quite comical, too!
Well, I am turning out my office this week; I have so much paperwork and a lot of it can be put into storage. Subconsciously, I think I am re-organising the house so that it is ready for packing when - if - we sell. I turned out the kitchen cupboards last week, and next week will do the bedrooms.
We are looking after our neighbours' hyperactive dalmation until next week; they are in Guadeloupe (a French colony - the French don't go abroad much and when they do they like to go where they can still speak French!). They also have a rabbit, so we take over doggy treats for the dog and carrots and apple for the rabbit. All they both normally eat are dried food pellets, which must be quite boring, so it's nice to give them a bit of variety.
Well, back to the office-tidying.
I hope you are all having good days.

Oh Anakat .. That says it all. I have so little patience or aptitude or self confidence with patterns I thought I was starting at the top of the head. Duhhhh!
Ok I will try again and let you know how far I get this time before it bounces off the wall.
Love to one and all

You playing frizbees with that poor hephalump?
Why do things always go awry for me...... DH signed for the delivery of his sisters table, dining chairs and Breton Buffet (huge dresser)..... I go out to look at it - we are talking 5 cupboards, 5 drawers, plate wrack etc you get the idea......well dear heart where is the key to all the bits???? DOH! phoned the store, oh it would have been with the driver, but you can visit tomorrow and we will give you another one GGGGRRRRR
and that is only the very first of the deliveries.
lesson learned - do not trust DH to check anything upon arrival.
fiasco number two - my pup (although she is enormous - we are talking about 60 kilos) has been crying since yesterday - she has some sort of infection on her nose/face, DH (again- its himself) takes her to the V.e.t.
130 euros later, two lots of tab-all-etts, an auntie Biotical jab as well as a cortisone jab - V.e.t. THINKS it might be something to do with a contretemps with a badger ask 1) do we live in the country? YES 2) does she walk out by herself? TRY STOPPING HER 3) does she dig ONLY AS FAR AS AUSTRALIA.4) I will give you some cream - NO COS IF SHE DOESN'T LICK IT OFF - Boab our other dog CERTAINLY WILL! We will return in a week if not before if she isn't improving I can't take her crying at night. Apart from all that things are going really well, below is a photo
of 1 pillowslip I make into two wee frocks and bits left over for a wee bag each. The other pillow slip is still sitting - gonna be a work in progress. I have stopped messing with frocks for the time being as I am going to do bedding for cribs at CUDDLES - they have run out and put a shout up on LH. Enjoy your weekend (cor don't I rabbit on!)

Hello chums, TGI Friday !
Chalky - going from a thimble to a sombrero  flippin `eck !
Love anakat`s multi colour ellie but I don`t think I`ll be trying the pattern if it`s that much of a trial. Still got the `L` plates on as far as crochet goes and I KNOW that would be beyond me
k2tog - nice to see you posting. Have you tried oranges to keep you `regular`?Only kidding, I know what you meant really
Pippa - in case I forget (which I probably will ) enjoy your hols in Spain and can you bring back a souvenir - some sun and less cold weather would be VERY acceptable.
Lucky Ginny - woolly stuff and sweeties all together :T You`ll need some extra energy to sew eveything up so that`ll be why she added the `sugar rush `yummy.
Kathy, well done with the filing, tidying etc. Wish I could get the ooomph to get stuff sorted here.
Had a bit of a problem here. I bought a sindy doll in a charity shop yesterday -remember I said the stuff I`d knitted seemed tooo big? Well, I took said dolly out of the bag, took her clothes off ..........and blimey her arms fell out of the sockets  One arm had a rusty wee safety pin stuck through it and had obviously been pinned to the broken bit of elastic on the other arm! Not very safe, just as well I opened it up and not little J.
Took it back today thinking I would swap it for one of the other ones - there were four altogether - but they had all gone, so I got my £3 back. The lady in the shop said she wasn`t surprised there were none left `as they WERE all ORIGINAL SINDYS you know !!` in a snooty tone of voice
I know I shouldn`t have but I replied, ` I thought original Sindys all had their arms firmly attached ?` I know, I was naughtybut it was Friday afternoon and it`s been a long week.
Anyway, DD found a teenage type doll in the pound shop, arms and legs attached and it was only........£1.00 surprisingly enough. Will do as a model perfectly, just hope she is about the same size as the other ones are. Guess what will be on the needles this weekend.
I believe the weather forecasters are predicting more snow this weekend so I`ll be sitting in front of the fire with the woolly stuff and a cuppa nearby, and watching whichever dvd little lad decides to put on - what fun :rotfl:Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

Had a lovely two days travelling southward through France with none of the predicted bad weather; in fact it was bright and sunny most of the time. I managed to knit 9 squares during the journey, but one of them won't make it into my bedspread as it's more rectangular than square!
I decided I needed more knitting needles and somewhere to store them in my French home... found some needles in a charity shop (where I've found odd balls of Pingouin wool before), and have spent the rest of today making a case for them, adapting a Rav pattern. Quite successful really! It also gave me the opportunity to show my OH why I'd bought a cable needle... he looked really puzzled when he first saw it.
In future I should always know where to find my needles... as long as I can remember always to put them away!!

Just checking I've got this signature thing right... followed your instructions in yesterday's post, Mioliere.Morag

Looks just fine to me Morag.
If you want your totals to go on the spreadsheet you`ll need to do an update -usually on a Sunday - in red writing so that Mioliere / Roamin spot it easily and can add it in. Something like
UPDATE
2 XXXXXX
3 ZZZZZ
1 YYYYY
and then adjust your signature to show the new figures.
Which reminds me, I`ll have to do a bit of tallying up as I have lots of things done but haven`t even started keeping track in my sig. Must try harder missus.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.
