    Hi everyone

F1 - will be thinking of you and hoping everything goes well and that you are soon back home and recovering.

Our lovely Jean (Roamin in the Gloamin) has made sure that the 2013 Update Spreadsheet is fully up to date so that I can take over and, fingers crossed, not undo all her good work by making mistakes!

Can we ask you all to clear your sigs so that only this year's totals show? This makes it a lot easier to check that all the totals are correct and reduces the risk of me making mistakes! I will tot up the hats and squares I have made this year and amend my sig - I really should do that now before I forget!

Jean - I absolutely love your quiet book; it's gorgeous. Once again, thanks for all your hard work on the spreadsheet.

Lemanie - a warm welcome to you!

Chalky - hope you are enjoying your break!

Hugs to everyone and extras for all who are poorly or anxious.

    Morning
I have at last started packing now I know for sure we are going away next Tuesday for 2 weeks in Spain ooo can't wait now. Mom is still coughing and spluttering so it was the right decision to ring the hospital and check, at least she didn't go through all the hassle of getting there and having to come home again.

jean - they were yummmmy ;)
kathy - all done and dusted :)
shaz - how is your hand now? all working properly I hope
ginny - Isn't your mom lovely tucking little surprises into things
psso - 2 ply ooo it makes me feel faint to think of it...I made a baby shawl in 2ply for a friend got to be 30 years ago and said I would never do another it took forever, it looked lovely when it was finished though so nice and delicate. She asked me to do one for her other daughter but I said sorry no (then felt guilty) money was tight in those days and she never did pay for the yarn for the first one....
mrs-m - aw thank you I will PM you next
f1 sending gentle hugs for you xxx

Had a quiet couple of hours on my friends ripple blanket last night quite relaxing, then went to bed and slept like a log.
I have a pair of OH's trousers to turn up today or they will never get done, why didn't he have jeans I could just whizz them round on the machine !!!

Off to make the coffee so TTFN and have good days all of you

    Love the elephant, Anakat!

Thanks,Pippa. Hope Mum feels a lot better soon.

Had a lovely surprise this morning when DS2 and family Skyped from their holiday apartment in Austria, where they've gone for a friend's wedding. The view they have of snow-covered mountains is wonderful; apparently the church where the wedding will be was in the Sound of Music! It all looks lovely and the children are enjoying all the snow.

Freezing cold here but sunny, so can't complain.

Hello everyone. So many lovely posts here. It is like a breath of fresh air this new year. Lovely.
We have just got back from visiting a friend who is about 100 miles from us here but a long way in the uk. She is lovely and wants to learn how to crochet!

F1 xxxxx you will be a new woman xxxxxxx

Pippa.. So glad you are getting away. You never look like an uncooked pastie.. More like strawberries and cream xx

Kathy.. How did the viewings go?

paso .. Sounds as if you have had a lovely time with all your celebrations for dd.

Shaz. Hope all well especially with the lads.

    Ginny. Lots of love.

Pungi. Lovely to see you posting.

Isom.. How are you? Miss you posting.

Mrs m. That made me laugh.

Annakat. You are sooo clever. When I tried the first few rows it was like a thimble . Is it smaller than I think. I am full of admiration.

Market day tomorrow. I can't wait. I shall get my basket out and then get on with marmalade and chutney making. Lovely x

Hope it is not too cold for you all xx

    Hi Everyone

Sorry I missed your pre hospital post f1. I am thinking of you.
So many with challenges at the moment.
Chalky, sorry to hear about your recent loss. Your Iris blanket is just beautiful.
Kathy, it's good to hear your mum seems to be a bit more settled.

To anyone who has a hard row to hoe at the moment - gentle thoughts.
I am a bit out of touch with things on here but I'm hoping to become more "regular" again.

Special hello to Maytaurus if you are reading . Hope your health is improving and that you will soon be back amongst it all here.

    Hi Chalky,
The start of the elephant is the tip of the trunk and does look like a thimble for the first few rounds. He is 8 inches high from his toes to the tips of his ears.
    Have another try :)
