    Afternoon all
    nice and sunny here today...

Bit of an upset for Mom yesterday, she has a really bad cold, so we rang the hospital and they said it would be best to postpone the op for Wednesday as she is not well and at her age 91, they won't operate if she is not 100% So we have to ring in a couple of months and they will re-book for her.

We've been to see MrsTwins today to take some challenge squares, stash squares, butterfly's and some ribbon. She showed us the blankets completed so far among them 2 daffodil ones and the Freeform blanket they are beeeeautiful. We had a cuppa and a good long chat, then it was time to go, bringing with me 2 bags of knitted squares for you chalky which I will bring down to Devon with me :)

chalky - ooo I will look forward to that I read about Hannah's on your blog. Talking yoga I used to love the relaxation at the end as well, but I used to relax a bit too much sometimes :o
jean - you are so clever the quiet book is gorgeous, any child will love it
morag - well done on your first squares, the first of many I am sure, please keep popping in we love to hear what everyone has been working on
kathy - so pleased to hear your Mom is getting involved with things, it must make you feel a bit happier that she has settled in so well now, fingers crossed for house viewing and building plot sale
psso - some people are so rude and ill mannered, after all good manners cost nothing... glad to hear normal service has been restored ;)
ginny - hope OH is feeling a little better today x
f1 - thinking of you and sending love and (((hugs))) xxx

I have done about a third of a ripple blanket for my friends Grand-daughter and loving making it, there is something quite relaxing about ripples, the same as the granny squares

all for now love to you all Ax
  • Chalks - love that hephalump... are you doing stripes???

    oh and b 4 I forget
    for f1

Yes well... You know me and crochet patterns. I got all excited, made a start and within half an hour had what looks like a thimble and have gone back to pondering about Granny squares!!!!

Pippa. That will keep me busy. So sorry bout mums op.what a shame

I have just been. Over to a neighbours here and have come back with a bag full of lemons, oranges and grapefruits straight from the trees so marmalade will be in the pan x

Going to other neighbours for a drink this evening so it's all relaxation. I looked in the mirror this morning and I look like an uncooked pastie!!

  • Hi all,

Just wandered in as I was clearing out my cupboard and came across a number of knitted squares not doing much.

I'm sure you lovely lot can tell me what to do with them / where to send them? There are probably 10-15 squares which measure about 10cm by 10 cms.

    Thanks,

    Lemanie
