    Im creeping in .................
I am ashamed, distraught and thoroughly mortified to report - the op didnt happen - was too poorly (is that the right word?? I feel a fraud with that one) to have it done.

Thank you so much for all your lovely kind thoughts and words it meant so much.

So much has happened in a short space of time I could not even begin to explain but it was decided that Im just not ready to have it done so that decision was made for me and some things have to be put in place for it to happen in the future.

Anyway a firm kick up the bum is needed - "Edna" is visiting but Im determined she will not stay long .... I have lots of projects whirling around that head of mine, lots of sorting, lots of pots to get filling etc so will be getting my head round that.

BUT you could say its on the plus side being nice in one way - instead of stash busting this week Ive accumulated another - wait for it - 1150g  in woolly loveliness - oh dear oh dear

Anyway 1000 apologies for not doing you all proud and just getting it done, I know Im on the naughty step for a week or two

roamin - those frocks are just lush- you are sooooo clever xxx
catch up properly soon - oh lovely to see you k2tog, as with Maytaurus I miss you all when you are not around xxxx

chalky - you can do it I have the greatest faith in you, strawberrys and cream eh! you are so kind...:o
psso -I will do my best

Just popped by to see what everyone was up to. F1 hunny, its your body and your decision - whats best for you is your choice. I agree no naughty step here. xxx

We have been out :j:j and I mean further than the supermarket round the corner or DD's round the other corner :j:j We drove through the lovely countryside to a model railway exhibition which was advertised as disabled friendly - and it was! I got to talk to lots of real people too, they are lovely folks at these places. Then we drove back a different way and stopped while I took photo's of the hills and dales. We stopped at a shopping precinct that we used to go to often and I nipped in the indoor market while hubs sat and read in the car. All I wanted was a ball of yellow wool for a rainbow blanket, the one on the market was wishy washy so ended up in Sue Ryder Care ( who I used to work for) and got some there. The precinct has gone down hill in the last couple of years and mainly full of bargain shops and Greggs type shops :( Wont be going there again. Im freezing now so going to curl up with my crochet and watch a film.

    hugs to all xx

ginnyknit - whilst not for the same reasons I totally understand and appreciate your excitement at being able to go somewhere and talk to real people - the model railway exhibition sounded lovely - I love model railways and often reminise about my wonderful Uncles (I was in charge of the "fluff" stuff gluing it on to make landscape) oh and driving the trains - my uncle brought a 125 when they came out gosh thats some years ago errrrr could be edging 30 years - I really hope hubby had a nice time although Im sure he is worn out this evening - I can feel your smiles from here - am sooooo pleased - have a lovely evening curled up xxxx and give my love to hubby and say well done xxx

pippa - your good foot up Ednas bum is much appreciated (although was sorry to hear you have a bad onexxxx) xx

Hi all. It's freezing cold here as I think it is in the UK now, according to the weather reports. Hope you are all coping with it.

Moragtod - that's perfect; I'm glad the instructions worked! I've just looked at the info where you've put your locations and see that you are in Languedoc - one of my DH's brothers and his family live there, near Beziers.

F1 - hugs to you. You most certainly are NOT on the naughty step! Hope Edna goes and takes a running jump.

Jean - those dresses are simply gorgeous; you clever thing, you! I don't envy you having to take deliveries in France!

Ginnyknit - sounds like a lovely trip out. Glad you enjoyed it.

PSSO - I'd have said the same!

Pippa - my slow cooker has been doing overtime lately; I've been making soups in it practically every day for a week, so my freezer is well and truly stocked up. It always makes me feel mother-earthy making soup! Today I made sweet potato and red pepper - I add a little chilli and a lot of paprika and it makes a lovely winter-warming soup.

Hope you all have a lovely evening.

F1 - if you don`t desperately need the op (for serious medical reasons) then there`s no shame in postponing / delaying it till you are happier with the decision. No naughty step for you at all, unless it`s for acquiring more wool when you are supposed to be stashbusting !!! Hmmm, now that IS naughty:naughty:.

Ginny- glad you enjoyed a day out. I don`t often have the chance to have a `me` day when I have a day off work as there`s always something which needs to be done at home or dr`s appointments to attend etc etc. Roll on the fine weather when I can just hop in the car and head off to the sea and watch and listen to the waves. My favourite pastime :)

Pippa - something tasty in the SC ?

Well, paid a visit to the library this morning and asked if the book Chalky recommended (The boy in striped pyjamas) could be ordered in for me. Guy on the desk hops up and makes a bee line for a shelf on the other side of the room and brought it over.
Should explain the library is a shared building with public and school access and the book was in the school part. He`d seen it on their `hot picks` list and had had a looksie at it earlier, which is why he knew exactly where to lay his hands on it. He also told me he`d read in the paper that the film is due to be shown on TV this week, but couldn`t remember when exactly.

Bit chilly here but :shhh: none of the white stuff yet anyway.
Enjoy your evenings and hope you get lots of woolly enjoyment.

tee hee I didnt buy all of it some was "poorly" gift from a friend who is a complete wool novice saw a local shop to her which was closing down went in asked all about the wool in the sale - was it good, was it cheap etc etc (oh lord knows what the shop assistant thought!) needless to say Ive been sent the loveliest Merino Aran in 6 shades by Rico - not sure what to do with it though as all I want to do is look at it a) in the lovely bag the shop put it in (do have an obsession with paper/cardboard bags b) squish it as it looks and feels gorgeous ........

Im now very intrigued about the Boy In The Striped Pyjamas so am off for a looksie and put a reminder on that - thank you xx

F1 if you don't need the immediately or are not ready for it then you are the one who knows best. I had hospital last Monday and also put of surgery on my eyes for another 6months as didn't want it done again now,so defiantly not on the naughty step for you.

Roaming the dresses are lovely your very clever did you have a pattern or make one yourself. And thank you for the program info will make sure it's recorded.

Kathy I love making soup so satisfying, don't you think

Ginnyknit glad you had a nice time out, sometimes you just need to go somewhere different and see new people and things. It does you the world of good.

Chalky thanks for the book recommendation got it and and enjoying it a lot

    Hope your all keeping warm
    Take care
